Hollywood & Vine for character meal?

Has anyone done Hollywood & Vine for the character meal at lunch? Also, can this be booked for the Fastasmic package? This would be for my five year old grandson who loves Disney Junior.

Yes the playhouse Disney Kids are great, they sing the Hot Dog Song. love it.

We ended up there for a late breakfast a few years ago with our DD (then barely 5yrs). We didn't have lunch ADR's and were able to just walk in. It was great - she LOVED it! They got the kids to dance and interact with the characters and from what I've heard the lunch is very similar to the breakfast.

We did the lunch last year, I found the food to be lacking. I hear the breakfast is better. We did enjoy the characters but not the food.

Done breakfast twice at Hollywood and vine when my daughter was one year old which she loved and again at 3 years old, she was terrified of the characters close up but liked watching from a distance. They also let the kids dance. food at breakfast was good - buffet style help yourself. We will probably try it again now she is 6 years and a bit braver. NB I enjoyed the atmosphere and the characters too.

And how late is lunch served?
