Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic Package

Has anyone done Minnie's Seasonal Dine, specifically the summer dining? How is the food, character interaction, etc.? We have it booked for late August, but the price sure is high, and I'm wondering if it's worth it. I have Chef Mickey's booked for our trip, too, so I am thinking maybe I should just stick with that and do Mama Melrose Fantasmic package instead.

I would not do both in one trip. Although the seasonal dines get more good reviews than the old H&V does, both CM & H&V are not up there on the food quality list. With pretty much the same characters and mediocre food, I'd opt for doing something different and only picking one of them.

I completely agree with Lisa. Both of these buffets compete for bottom rung on the food ladder at WDW. If you must do one, do CMs, an then do Mama Melrose for the F! Dining package.

I wonder if the Fantasmic Dining Package is even necessary. I am going in late August/early September. Do you think I even need to do the dining package?

We had a pleasant experience at H&V last fall and enjoyed the seating at Fantasmic. We will be doing H&V with the Fantasmic package again this fall.

I know the reviews are mixed for both. We have not done Chef Mickey's. We've done H&V twice, once for the Disney Jr lunch and once for Minnie's. No complaints either time from us!
