Can anyone give me some reviews on the above restaurant for the dinner buffet? We are looking at going there for the Fantasmic Dinner Package and was going to choose this one because of the price and the fact that it is buffet.......

Any reviews? Thanks!

My family ate there last summer for the dinner and it was great. The prime rib was wonderful and so were the vegetables. There were many selections of meat and vegetables. They were cooking some of the meat on the grill in front of your while we were there. The kids menu had pizza, nuggets, mac and cheese, fries and other assortments. The dessert buffet consisted of several cakes and pies, not to mention the make your own sundae bar. I think that if you try it, you will be surprised not only of the good food but of the friendly staff there.

We generally hate buffets. H&V was a very pleasant surprise. The quality of the food was quite good and there was plenty of variety.

We ate there this past November, the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.

My kids generally eat from the grown-ups side and ate well including some really good green beans before hitting the dessert buffet. Fun, fun, fun for them making soft serve confections and then sampling some of the cakes. They didn't really appeal to me though! I especially remember good quality salmon and roast pork.

It was not as crazy, noisy as I thought it would be and it was peak dinner hour. Really an enjoyable dinner.

Often go against the grain of opinons here, but our meal here was a disappointment. We are pretty open-minded about most meals, but this one was just plain flat. I did enjoy the spicy chicken caesar salad though. Can't complain about the service though as it was prompt and attentive. Will not be going back for dinner, though did love the breakfast and will sorely miss that!

We did the Fastamic dinner package 03/27/03. We too were a bit dissapointed with the selection. What we did eat though was pretty good. The service was slow but it was very busy. I would do it again just for the reserved seating for the show. We spoke with a couple who did the dinner package at Brown Derby and they said the food and service was poor and they paid a heck of a lot more than we did for H&V. Hope this helps.

We have had an excelent meal here with the fantasmic package. We were there on a cool rainy night and found the food to be hot, fresh and delicious. There was something there for everyone and the service was top notch for a buffet. We will return.

The only restaurant in WDW that we will never return to is Hollywood and Vine. We ate there in November 2001 and it was awful. The food was cold and bland. The few items that were decent enough to eat were never refilled on the buffet. The service was horrible and the desserts were even bad. To make it even worse we all were sick the next day from the meal. Never again!

We usually love buffets in general, and are also open minded about trying new restaurants, but we were disappointed in Hollywood and Vine's Dinner Buffet.

We love Cape May Buffet, and Chef Mickey's, and they were no comparison to H&V. The food was just okay, and the dessert table again just okay. Service was great, and the price was very reasonable for a buffet, but we won't be returning here on our next trip.

We've done the H&V the last 3 trips for the Fantasmic! dinner package and loved it. You have to be a buffet person (which we are) and we really enjoy the food.

We did this buffet in November and loved it. It was a nice variety and we loved the spoon bread (even got the recipe and fixed it for our family Thanksgiving later in the month). We went early (3:30pm) since F! was at 6pm then. We have also eaten at MM for the F! package and loved it as well, but this has a huge variety. Have fun.

we went to H&V on the Fantasmic! package and loved it!
there were 8 of us (4 adults & 4 kids) and everyone enjoyed it. My favorite was the root beer sweet potatoes.

What will be a good time to have dinner here so that you don't feel rushed to get to Fantasmic?

We ate there about a month ago as part of the Fantasmic dinner package. It was the best Disney meal we've had in a long time. There was some kind of toasted bread they served near the salad that was excellent.

We've always enjoyed the dinner buffet with even my picky son being satisfied. If Fantasmic isn't too early, I like to set our PS for about 1 1/2 hours before the show. Then we can take our time eating and getting down to the seating area afterward.

We have eaten there twice and enjoyed it both times. They have the best mashed potatoes, my 19 yr old DS most have eaten 8 helpings of the mashed potatoes. You do have to like buffets. With an 18yr old DS and 19 yr old DS, we do buffets alot.

We liked Hollywood & Vine very much on our trip there in May '01. The food was great, you cannot expect gourmet fare, but it was very well presented, hot & tasty. There was a lot of variety.

In general, the lunch & dinner buffets have gotten a lot better in the last few years. We ate last year at Crystal Palace and were delighted. I know a lot of people love the Cape May, but I was not that thrilled with it. Maybe it's bc I am from New England!!
