Hollywood Vacation ticket question

I called and they said we get a 4 day park hopper ticket, do they have a expiration date or can you upgrade them at a later date?

We have AP's and we would like to use these tickets for another trip.

Anyone use them later or upgrade them?

I am trying to remember, I know they can't be used for upgrading they have Adventures by Disney printed on the back. I think there was an expiration date on them as well.

We went in August and our tickets expired when our tour did. I had hoped to use our tickets to upgrade to annual passes, but no dice.
