We are going to Hollywood Studios on Weds May29th. I believe they have extra early hours that day. We'll be able to be there at rope drop. How stinkin' crazy will it be in the rush to TSM?

Not sure exactly, but in my past experiences (and we have a lot), the rush can be really crazy. Just stay with the flow of traffic and get in line to get your FPs first and then get in the stand by line to ride. If the rush doesn't seem too crazy to you, then head go to the stand by line first and then get a FPs once you get off the ride for later. You are going in the middle of the week which shouldn't be as bad as if you were going on the weekend, but then again you never know, some schools may be out for Summer vacation by then. Good luck.

We were there just about the same weekend this past year. Keep in mind that HS regularly opens before the posted opening time -- we got there about 8:20, were 4th or 5th in line, and they opened the gates at 8:45. We walked to TSM, got an FP for about 9:45, got in the standby line and rode, got out about 9:20, did Great Movie Ride, got back to TSM, our window had opened, got another pair of FPs for around 1, rode again (we decided not to use the 1 pm FPs and gave them away). I think this was on the Monday a week after Memorial Day. So not nearly as bad as you might think it would be, if you can be in line well before the posted opening time.

When we were there, TSM was by far the busiest ride we saw at all 4 parks. We got there at 8:30am to pick up FP and it already had return time in the early afternoon. The wait time was never below 60 minutes and increased as the day went on. I would say walk fast to TSM as soon as the rope drops and get in line right after if you want to ride more than once.

Last year during this week, we went to EMH morning at DHS two times. On both occasions TSMM was closed and everyone was forced to collect a fastpass and go to a different attraction. The ride opened about 8:30 - 8:45. People were miffed. The fact that it happened both times seemed strange to me.

I wasn't there in May but I was in October 2010, and when we went to get FP for TSM this lady who was running literally ran into my DH who was just trying to keep up with the crowd. She knocked him down and literally turned around and yelled at him to get out of the way. That right there tells me that people get way to crazy over TSM, and I can only see it being worse in the summer.

I think next trip I am getting early ADR's at H&V and I will be the only one to go get FP while my DH stays with my DD, because I will not allow my daughter to get hurt by overzealous fans of TSM.
