The last time we were at DHS was 2012. Do they still let you in a bit before rope drop? Could you still walk on Toy Story if you get the DHS before rope drop?

Also, they use to have a street show with dancing and singing. Do they still have that? It was like a mini parade that stopped in front of they hat and they let kids come up and dance with the cast members. My daughter had such a great time doing that. Is it still there?

Thank you,

1. While guests ARE generally allowed into the park before the posted opening time, there is no longer any internal holding area nor is there a rope drop ceremony.

2. The first objective of most guests entering the park as soon as they open the gates is TSM.
If you are early in the lines and walk quickly, you will be among the first to ride.

3. Nope.
4. No (and neither is the hat.)

For 9 I'd get there about 7:45-8am to be close to the front. They could let people in at 9, or a little early.

Also from my experience with HS rope drops, people tend to bunch up on the left and middle. A lot of the times we've found the far right side to have a lot less people

Bummer on the street show :-(

For a 9 AM park open early September, what time should we get to DHS?

We went Star Wars weeks with 8am opening. Earliest time we got there was 45 minutes early and there was a sizable, but manageable, crowd. It built behind us.

For a day in September and stir it to be a on the first to get on TSMM, I suggest 45 minutes before park open. Gets you ahead of most folks with the same plan for a first ride.

When we did the same plan but arrived at 7:30 (30 Minutes before open), we were "among the first" but still had nearly a 30 minute wait by the time we physically got on the ride.

Thank you for the information. I do remember going to the far right from when we went in 2012. Touring plans and easy wow have DHS at a 1 on our day there
