Hollywood Studios on a Sunday in Sept/Oct. Wrong??

I've Googled and Googled to try and find the answer for this, but to no avail.

The Undercover Tourist crowd calendar has Hollywood Studios down as "Not Recommended" for every Sunday in September and October. I'm trying to figure out why?

Anyone able to shed some light on the theory on this for me?

TIA

Touring Plans has a different prediction...Sept. 10th is 3/10 and the following two Sundays are 5/10. Oct. 1st is 6/10 and Oct. 8th is 7/10 just to give you an idea. I know MNSSH party brings lots of visitors in but the 2017 dates for that have not been announced yet.

The crowd scores make sense, but on Undercover it gives a green tick for the "best" park, leaves the rest blank and sometimes gives a red cross for a park. No matter what the crowd prediction is, HS gets a red cross. I could understand a neutral vote, but a Not Recommended seems extreme! I just wondered if there was something I was missing.

I think it's because they have EMH and MK has MNSSHP which puts people off who don't have a party ticket. So they looks for the next best value for their ticket and I guess EMH is attractive for some.

I'm not a believer in "crowd calendars". To me, they're just WAGs. It's easy to predict a crowd on a holiday...it's going to be packed, but on a random Sunday in September or October, who can really say? It's going to be busy, WDW always is. But to me, you may as well flip a coin, roll dice, etc...you're just as likely to be right. As a general rule, I'd say weekends are more crowded at any park, but to me only MK is it truly noticeable. I wouldn't avoid HS on a weekend because some prediction told you to.

A few of the crowd calendars automatically say a park with EMH is not recommended. I'd assume that's whats happening here. I don't buy into it though.

Thanks everyone. I think it is as Mar7967 says - EMH.

I've looked at the calendars to guide me, but at the end of the day my plan fits first and foremost with what we want to do on those particular days. Sometimes it was easy to switch something around to avoid an event or expected surge in crowds at a park, but otherwise, we've gone with what we want.

If it has EMH it will probably be more crowded than a non EMH day. BUT, that does not mean you should not go. Just have a plan and go with the flow. Sept is generally a slower time, Octobers have been pretty busy. I am sure it will be fine.

I've found that during party season, when MK has an early close for a party, DHS gets more crowded during the day. Monday is usually a good day for DHS because MK has longer hours and people go there.

EMH is the reason. Most crowd calendars automatically tell you to avoid parks with EMH, particularly morning EMH.

If you are staying on-site and will make sure you're there by 8am, then I'd say do it. Otherwise, its probably best to pick a different day of the week.

Everything else being equal, if you can't go to EMH yourself, it's best to use that day for other parks. If you do go to EMH, I would park hop to another park around noon, and have FP+ waiting for you there.

Another rule of thumb: don't go to MK on a Monday, because most families arrive on Sunday. The next day, where do the kids want to go first? You guessed it.

It would be helpful to know which Sunday you're looking at, as the early to middle of September is significantly more empty than late September to October.
