Below are the attractions that my family of 4 (5 & 8 year old) would like to see mid May (with FP for the ones that we would like to get FP for). We aren’t into the thrill rides but the problem that I am having is that I have no idea what time to book the fastpasses for as we would like to do each area first without having to rush to another for a FP time. I have looked at a park map but am unsure how long to leave for the other attractions that we want to see in each area and how long it takes to travel/get through each area, as well as some time to explore. I think that I have read that Beauty and the Beast may be best in the morning as it is outside. Any advice on fastpass times for those below would be most appreciated, as well as the recommended direction for travelling Hollywood Studios! Thanks!

FP- BEAUTY BEAST LIVE ON STAGE
FP- FROZEN SING ALONG
FP- VOYAGE OF THE LITTLE MERMAID
DISNEY JUNIOR LIVE ON STAGE
INDIANA JONES
MUPPET VISION 3D
WALT DISNEY PRESENTS
FANTASMIC

Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast are both outside, with showtimes mostly in the afternoon. They will be hot. Plan some air conditioned activities in between.

Hollywood Studios is fairly small, with less areas to "explore" than the other parks. The attractions you are doing are all ones you could easily do without a FP, so your day should be pretty easy.

What time do you hope to arrive? Will you take an afternoon break?

I'd plan to arrive at the park around 10:00.

11:00 BatB
Lunch in AC
1:15 Indy
1:50 Muppets
2:20 Meet Olaf?
3:30 Frozen
Character Meet?
4:50 Disney Jr

Then maybe character meets, One Man's Dream, and dinner before Fantasmic.

I can see the need for the FP at Frozen but the other 2? We have always been able to just walk in.

Have you considered doing Toy Story Mania at opening? It is so much fun, and perfect for your whole family. Unfortunately no FP while you are there, but if you arrive early so you can go there right at opening the wait should not be bad. Also, is anyone into Star Wars? Just checking since there are many things to see if you were interested. As PP mentioned it is a fairly small park, not far from place to place. Check out this site to see showtimes and lengths, with character info., listed by section of the park. It is updated every Sat. for the new week, but will be pretty similar for your trip, so you can use as a guide: http://wdwent.com/

The link is very helpful! Thank you!

There's a greater choice of seating, and you can typically arrive 15 minutes later than you would for standby seating.

That said, you should still try to arrive at least 45 minutes before the show. That arena is huge, but it does get packed. Without FP+, you should get there an hour before showtime.

I agree— since you don’t really need the FP for shows, go ahead and book one for Fantasmic. You then won’t be able to book one for Beauty and the Beast, because they are both tier one, but if you go to the first BatB show and are at least a little early, you won’t need one. It’s a big theater.
