Hollywood Studios Breakfast Before Opening?

My family will be visiting Hollywood Studios this spring on a day that is predicted to be very crowded. If we have an 8:05 reservation for breakfast at Hollywood and Vine will we be finished with breakfast before the park opens? We will not want to rush through the meal. Our other alternative would be to arrive early before the park opens and eat lunch at Hollywood and Vine.

I don't have an answer for you because I haven't eaten there before, but you might have luck with an answer on the restaurant section of the planning boards.

I like the idea of being early enough for being first in line at TSM!

How quickly do you eat? Park generally opens about 15 minutes or so before scheduled opening time.

1- Unlikely. (Expect DHS to open for guests between 15-30 minutes before the posted opening time.)
2- Then, you surely won't be finished in time.
3- That may work better for you.

I would recommend you be at the gate early and then do H&V for lunch. We just did this lunch with DGrD2 on 1/28 and it took the characters just over 1 hour to all get to our table (and it wasn't even crowded- the character switch over had just happened 2 days before). They stop and sing with all the kids every 20 mins or so - then go in the back to switch out. It was a great experience if your little ones love Doc, Sophia, Jake and Handy Mandy (our DGrD sure does!!).
Last May DD got caught in exactly what you were saying about the early breakfast - they had 8AM and didn't get seated until 810/815. At 845 they could see everyone entering the park already - they were upset to loose the first good 1/2 hour of park time eating - by the time they got back to TSMM the wait was almost an hour.
I was so happy we were at the front of the gate at 830 - walked right to TSMM at 845 - off and in line to meet Buzz/Woody by 9. We did HISTK playground, Little Mermaid 930 show (FP+), met Minnie at 10 and then Disney Jr show at 1030(FP+). Had a lunch ADR for H&V at 1115 - seated at 1130 - done just after 1230 and back to the resort for pool and nap. (DD is 7 mos pregnant, we were doing very short days in the parks) Enjoy!
