Is there any new information about the American Idol experience? I'm not even sure what this "experience" is, can someone fill me in please?

Jim Hill posted a rumor today that the opening of the American Idol Experience has been delayed until the end of May, 2009:

The American Idol Experience web site still says January 2009 so I don't know how accurate Jim is with this one.

I bet the soft opening will be around Jan 09 and the grand opening at the end of the American Idol Season like Jim said. It would be smart for Disney to ride the publicity made from the new American Idol.

So, to actually perform in this you would be taking an entire day out in the hopes that you are entered into some future possible contest? Then what? For those interested in a career on stage, it might be ideal but we (DH, DD & I) can think of better ways to spend our time in the world....will probably skip this one

True....maybe this would give people a chance to get over stage fright? I don't know...I find it a curious attraction.

I am glad that they are doing something to expand DHS but I don't think this is the right direction Disney should go on this park. Expand Pixar Place!
