Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

I cannot wait for the HRR!!! Looks just amazing!! Have you heard the music tracks thoug, they leave a little to be desired. Think I'll opt for country when it's my turn! :lmao:

i would love to see the Saw ride :) ooh i am getting brave !!

Here's pic natalie

I'd ride it no problem, but I would NOT want to line up with all the live actors and Saw videos! :sad2:

Oh my goodness that Saw looks wicked as, don't know if I could go on that!

I hope Rip It Rocket is open when we go in July, FOTL will be handy I would imagine. Now after seeing that photo of Saw I am thinking this is exactly what the lift bit will be like on the new ride but it is hidden with the building, I may have second thoughts about trying it.:scared1: The family may have to resort to giving me a cocktail or two to get me on it.:)

The more I see and read about this the more excited I am getting about riding it. My DD(10) is a huge coaster fan too and will be aching to get to US just for this one ride.
I jokingly told her that I didn't want to do it and her response was "That's OK, just tell me where to meet you afterwards and I will do it on my own".
She would to - as she proved on Hulk, Duelling Dragons and the Mummy. Makes Daddy so proud

Universal still aren't putting an opening date on HRRR - they just keep saying "We want to make sure it is absolutely right when we open it" - but it does look like sometime in early July looks the best bet.

If you go onto youtube and type in Thorpe Park Saw ride - or something similar - you will see all you need to see :thumbsup2

The pics and videos of it testing look great. I just hope it's going to be open by the beginning of July........

Is it just me, or are those 6 tracks on the website just generalised examples of the music genres and not specific songs? Hopefully the ride will actually utilise well-known songs (there are supposed to be 6 choices in each genre, hence 30 in all), as I can't imagine these snippets really catching people's attention at all :confused3

There was a website that asked you to vote for your favourite songs in certain genres from a given choice. The winners were to be chosen from that.

I took an online survey from Universal at the end of 2008 asking for my opinion on various tracks that could be used in HRRR.
They were all well known tracks by the original artists, and hopefully that's what we'll get on the finished ride.

Yeah. I have no doubt whatsoever the tracks will be well known ones, I also think they will be all artists on the Universal label, thereby, boosting sales of cds/songs by those artists. Makes good sense to do this.

I wonder when the 'skin' will be put on the coaster, by this I mean the massive picture you see against the start of the ride (where you climb the coaster at the start). And also the hoops attached to the track.

If you don't know what I mean, take a look at the promo picture...

I assume it will look like this in the end won't it? :confused3
