Really how is Hollywood and Vine- It is the only ADR I can get for Fantasmic?
Please tell me the good the bad and the ugly on this one. Thanks:cool1:

I was at H&V last week with Fantasmic package. On this board it gets a lot of negative reviews.
Out of 9 TS meals we had the best waiter here. A great guy.
The food was o'kay. It's a buffet. My kids liked it. Basic fare for kids-nuggets, mac and cheese.
Basic buffet-nothing stands out as great but nothing bad........
I've done Mama Melrose before also. Food was good, but it was very, very hot the day I was there. The food was just too heavy to eat on such a hot day.
I chose H&V because it offers a little of everything.

Disney Cat Mom did you have a very early seating for dinner- they told me the latest they take ADRs for the package is 6pm and I could only get 5:15 so we have alot of time in between the meal and the show which was not our plan but....

We have been twice, infact its a must do with the fantasmic package. The first time the food was great, liked what they served, the second time I wasn't feeling very good and the food was ok but great service. We are going again this year. The rest of my family absolutely love it. With any restuarant you have to try it for your self, you will always have both positive and negative.

We had a 4:40 ressie and 8:30 show. It worked out really well. We watched the 3:00 parade on the main street by the handicap area (CM told us to stand there and it is excellent spot) then went straight to Indiana Jones while parade continued down the road. Left Indiana Jones and went straight to H&V.
Left H&V and did Ariel and RnR (FP) one more time and then went to show.
Perfect timing!

I'm stuck with Hollywood and Vine too for the Fantasmic package, and I'm not thrilled with it. :sad2: I couldn't get Mama Melrose's....I've read tons of reviews and at best it's just so-so....I'm going to keep trying to switch it!

We did the package at H&V last summer. A good meal with a wonderful waitress, Brenda. My nephew ate well AND was very engrossed in his kids activity sheet. The meal was good, not great and it was a really hot day (got water for my mother while we waited on the porch or our name to be called, kind of hot). We had a 4:45 ressie, so I think your 5:15 is great! Take you time at the meal then browse the park. The animation bldg was really a really cool place to visit. They had some computers on the lower level with some fun interactive activities (3 or 4 different types).

I was happy to see this thread as I just tried getting reservations for October for the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's, but it was already full so I ended up getting H & V instead. I, too, have a 4:40 reservation (it was the latest that they had). When I made the reservation, the CM didn't tell me what show it was for. I guess I better call back and find out! Hoping to hear more good reviews!:goodvibes

My family really likes H&V. We have granchildren and Buffets work best for them.

Weve eaten at H&V multiple times and have had a great experience each time and they have red velevt cake for dessert

H&V is one restaurant we will not go back to. We give every restaurant a second chance--and our second chance visit to H&V was worse than the first visit. The service was absolutely terrible; 20 minutes to be seated after our ADR time and the restaurant was no where near full; food was mediocre at best, luke warm and they were very slow in replenishing when something ran out. And I won't even get into the cleanliness of the restaurant.

We ate there a couple of years ago, and every member of my family said we have to go back this trip. This was from all 7 people. We found it to be a great deal with many different options. Not one complaint.

We had our Thanksgiving Fantasmic Dinner at H&V. We were party of 10. I was kind of scared because I read all the negative reviews. But we really enjoyed it!! The chef and the waiter were great. Food was fresh and good, the restaurant was clean. From that trip, we had buffet from 1900 and CP, it didn't make that much difference. If there was a choice of Mama Melrose & H&V, I would definately choose H&V. I think with the price of Mama, you can get great Italian foods anywhere outside WDW.

I am just going to throw this out there but I do not find the fantasmic package necessary. I might get slaughtered, but really if you are going in oct. it is not necessary. I would recomend getting a ressie at mama melrose without the fantasmic, we have done this a few times and it works great, you do not get the priority seating but truly there is not a bad seat in the auditorium. So if you are feeling a little uneasy with H&V and wanting to do Mama do Mama and not be tied down to a time with fantasmic package.

Expect solid food, but do not expect anything spectacular. Nothing has ever not been to proper temp and things get changed out fairly often when we've gone. Expect good service. The tables are a bit tight and the noise factor is high. Nothing spectacular but it will certainly do the trick.

We have done the fantasmic package twice with H & V and it's now a must do for us. The food is nothing fancy, but has always been very good. Service has also been very good. And as a few others stated there isn't a whole lot of room in the resturant itself. But still works fine. My kids love it there since they can pick whatever they want and they are picky eaters.
