Book it ASAP if you can. Went yesterday... food was great (had the salmon and s’mores “pie”)
The characters were great for the kids.. the stand pretty much a few feet from them to pose for pics and interactions... it was so nice to be able to do it, because my 4yo asked to see Mickey the entire trip. We saw 1 cavalcade in MK and I knew we needed at least 1 more and I was able to snag a last minute lunch adr and it was so worth it! If you are thinking about going then do it!! It was great!

Yay, I booked it Thanksgiving week and had been thinking about canceling. I’m so glad I kept it now. Thank u for update!

Thanks for the review. I've been trying to decide whether to keep or cancel for 10/7. Sounds like a keeper,

Just a quick peruse and there were like no Hollywood Studios reservations available during late Oct (22-31). Fortunately I have all of my reservations already booked.

This is the 3rd good review I have seen/read in 24 hours so I am scrambling to try to add it to either our Columbus Day weekend or Thanksgiving week trip. No availability but I set up reservation finders. I'll have to drop something if I get it as we have all our dining booked already but I think we need to try it.

I was never a H&V hater, but I am glad to hear the new menu is yummy. Super glad I made a reservation for my trip in November :)

How strict are they with the kids menu? I have a 10 yr old and can’t imagine them being able to eat an adult portion. Has anybody gone with a close to, but not technically 3-9?

The only way to pay the kids price is to lie. That's not something I would be willing to do. Even for people who have had gastric bypass surgery there are no adult discounts at buffets or (or per head dining based on age). It doesn't matter how much you eat or don't eat.

I understand that. I just can’t see the adult menu appealing to lots of 10 year olds. Maybe the way to go is to ask for an adult portion of one of the kid meals?

I thought you were asking this question about a buffet, Hollywood and Vine. If you are asking about ordering off a kids menu at a regular table service restaurant (that is not a per head charge/family style) then you should be okay. While there might be kid food on a buffet, no child is limited to that section. No adult is restricted from taking mac and cheese/chicken fingers from the kids area.

Hollywood and Vine isn't a buffet right now :)

Sorry for the confusion. I know H&V used to be a buffet. Currently there is one adult price and one kids price for character dining. I believe you get a salad, pick one entree and one dessert. Lots of things on the adult menu don’t seem very kid-friendly (osso bucco, salmon, etc.)

Oh, you're right. I forgot about that. Yeah, it will be the same idea though. They will always allow you to get kids food in an adult portion at an adult price. Sad, I know! I used to hate when our kids would just turn 10 around Disney vacation time! It is the worst to pay an adult price for those picky eaters. I have six kids. My baby is 17 and eats like a toddler. It's ridiculous! Most of my of my other boys at least knew how to eat! This one has a bunch of digestive issues and food allergies. Boma= mac and cheese, 2 chicken fingers, a slice of cheese pizza and an iced tea. A couple of cookies. $50+tax and tip! Ahhhhh!

Thank you for the review :)

Just reserved our ADR this morning for our late November/early December trip. Since there isn't tons of holiday stuff happening at that time, we figured that we needed to experience everything they do have, which includes this restaurant :)

I wonder if the menu will change by late November?

Thanks for the review. I have this booked for lunch on our thanksgiving week trip!!!
