How are these parades different from the regular MGM and AK parades that we viewed May 2005? DD6 & DS4 have already seen the standard ones -- is it a must see for a December 2006 trip? They generally like parades. Thanks

I really enjoyed the Holly Day parade at MGM. It was set to Christmas music and everyone was dressed for the occasion as well. The last car was Santa. If your a parade family then I would recommend watching this one :thumbsup2

I saw the Jingle Jungle Parade this past December. I thought it was great! It is also set to Christmas music. Some of the stuff is the same (the big "puppets" and such, but there is a lot different, too (the floats w/ the various characters, etc). If you are going earlier in the month when crowds are not as bad, i say try to see them both! If you are going during the really busy time (Christmas to NY's), I say just pick one.

If you'd like to see the comparison, I've made a video with shots of each float from 2002 (before the Holiday additions) and 2004, with all the vintage cars and their characters decked out.

We missed having the Star Wars float and Darth Vadar the most of all the changes.

You can find it in my siggie link.

I can only speak for the Holly Day parade and that is the same parade with a holiday overlay on them and new music. Same characters and such but it depends on how much of a "parade person" you are.
