This is just annoying. Hollister and Abercrombie website has its front page as saying "Take an additional 50% off all red line merchandise." Now, when I read that I think that I should be taking 50% off the price that's listed. That's how it works in the store and that's how it has worked on their website previously. Isn't that what you would do?

Spent time shopping at both sites yesterday and its not until you get to the checkout that you realize the price they list IS the discounted price. You have to dig and dig and dig through their fine print to find out that information. Or, if you're like me you get to the checkout and can't figure out why the sale price isn't showing up.

They just lost my sale.

I went to the American Eagle website where it says to take an additional 40%off their clearance and bought some of my back to school stuff there. They have some really good bargains, well at least they did last night.

I noticed that also. I thought I was doing something wrong. To me if it says "additional", it's additional!

I bought things at Hollister last week and it was an additional 50% off the sale price. Got shorts for $7 and swim suitpieces for $10/ea. We got quite a bit of stuff for $50.

In store, yes, it's an ADDITIONAL 50% off. Online, no. The price they list isn't an additional 50% off. A bit deceptive if you ask me.
