I was in heaven seeing everything all up and getting ready for Christmas in Disney World, that I kinda started to cry. That's it my mom and I just have to go next year in Dec., so we can see it all in person!

You'll LOVE going at Christmas time :-) That's our very favorite time of the year to go.

This Food Channel show was so fun to watch. All the gingerbread houses (scenes) at the resorts are amazing, especially when you see them in person. The Poly's monorail was really a special touch.

Made Hubby and my two girls watch it tonite, I caught it on Sunday nite, We are going on Christmas day but its a surprise for my girls and this show was perfect way to get them excited with out letting the secret out, I think hubby is excited as well, cant wait!!!! princess:

We too are going for a surprise Christmas trip. I had a really hard time watching the show last night! I've been keepig the trip a secret for so long (since May) that it was really difficult not to start saying "Oh I can't wait until we see that in 20 days!!"

We have never been at Christmas before and it was great to see what we have to look forward to!

My mom taped those for me because she knew we were going this month and I have still got to watch them. I love the holidays at WDW! I can't wait to go back! I'm actually afraid that I might cry when we go back so I've got to work on my emotions between now and then!!

Man!!! I missed it!!! DH was like. . .you really missed it!! Christmas time at Disney was on while you were off at puppet practice (our church has a puppet ministry)!! UGH!!! :headache:   :crazy2: Gotta check it out so I can see when it will be on AGAIN!!!! :rolleyes1

I went online to www.foodnetwork.com last night to see when I could watch it again to tape it (DD4 loves Raven, WDW and Christmas as well so what a combination!!!).

Anyhow, here's the schedule for when it will be on again...I think you can still catch it. ;)

I wish we could afford to get one of the stockings for the girls but they are just a little bit too pricey for our budget this year...

That gigantic gingerbread house is AMAZING!!!!

We did get to watch tonight. It was so exciting to see again. We were there one year ago today (actually we were just bording the plane :sad2: ) anyway I have a few questions for the experts...I know they said they start preparing/baking the gingerbread in July. When do they actually put it up?? It looks like it's during the day and not "transformed" overnight. Also do they put anything on the food itself to preserve it?? How does it stay so long without bugs eating it, after all we all know Florida is so warm and has a lot of bugs. :confused3

The show last night confirmed my next trip will have to be during the holidays!

I watched the holiday special last night and was wondering when the decorating is complete? We're going 12/4 and I'd love to see everything being put together. Was this taped last year? Also, in Epcot they showed preparations for a sit down dinner in the American pavillion, was this a private party? Does anyone know if it's available to the public or being held this year?

I have plans to go to next years MNSSHP in October but I would love to go back in December for my Birthday :guilty: I have never been on my birthday and I think that would be a truly magical time to be there. The closest I've been to Christmas was Thanksgiving week when alot of the decorations were up but nothing like what I saw on the show!
