DW and I headed to our overall favorite area of WDW, Epcot (including the boardwalk area too). MK is our Magic Park, but Epcot just feels like IT for the two of us. We arrived just as the WS opened, we usually pass on FW rides until later in the night, when everyone else has wandered into the WS, except for our immeadiate FP for Soarin' which I went to retrieve as DW "looked" around the Art of Disney store. I always enjoy how "looking" turns into taking out a plastic card. After getting the FP's we toured the WS and took our time to soak in the details and listen to the variuos Holiday speakers. The woman who told the story of Kwanza was excellent, we have actually considered to begin celebrating it based on her tales of its meanings and origins. We strolled over to ESPN for a late lunch/early dinner, 4pm is the best time to get there, usually there are many open seats at this point because of the changeover between meals. We enjoyed the hot wings, burgers, nachos, and of course the beverages, DW loves the Powerplay. Following our meals we headed back to WS and DW found her staple for each trip, a doll from Helmut Engle in Germany, seeing the look on her face is more than worth the price of the doll too me. She collects dolls, I collect memories. We lucked into an EEMH that night, we completely spaced it, it was our own magical moment. We viewed Illuminations, DW discovered a very sweet and fruity wine/champagne called Bellini as we did an around the world trip. I stuck to the drafts and she the fruity drinks, but that's for another post. We made our first attempt to ride the Nemo and Friends during the EMH, we got on the clamobiles and made it into the tunnel where Crush is talking, then the ride froze, stopped, the lights came on, and they walked us off, we were told there was an unidentified problem and they didn't know how long it would take to fix it, so we ventured on. We rode SE and TT twice, strolled around WS relaxed and enjoyed the lights and sights, and then headed home close to midnight. We had a big day upcoming, DW had a massage package scheduled for the morning, and I had a solo trip to the Boardwalk Bakery while she was at the massage, I don't know who was more excited.
