Holiday Slide Mount Swap CLOSED BUT ACTIVE

The price is per sleeve not per case- I did not buy them, but I would look into it if there is enough interest- we could split a sleeve. Ther is not way I would use 1,000 of them. Shipping is 10 dollars to me from the company.

S:)

Yeah, I reread it and saw it was per sleeve. I thought it was per case when I first read it...sorry :)

Nancy, I used the sizzix die for other swaps, but I have a question. Are people cutting single, or 1 cardstock + 1 pattern/cardstock glued on it? How do you want it? I actually think I have done both, so I'm not sure which is right now :confused3 It's not like they have any stress on them, but I don't want to do it wrong...thanks :teeth:

I would possibly be interested in splitting the slides.

[Disclaimer: I'm not Nancy.] :lmao: Sorry - couldn't help myself. ;)

I use the Sizzix die & usually just cut out of CS...often Bazzill, but not always. I do occasionally use PP, but then I always put CS under it. Even for my own pages (no shipping involved) just handling it to embellish & stick it down is hard on a plain paper one. I tried it once & ended up trashing it & starting over...I don't like wrinkles. LOL

I got looking at the photos from the last time & realized that everyone did a LOT more on their mounts than I usually do. I'm going to need to re-think my ideas if that's the level of work everyone is expecting! :scared: Mine tend to be a little more simple than that.

I cut the out of CS for the last ones I did, but I didn't use double CS. Are people doubling the CS? I guess that is my question. The seasonal ones I did had CS and patterned pater on top of some... OK, just really confusing myself now :confused3 What is everyone else doing?

I wasn't planning on using double CS. Mine really have been simple in the past. In fact, the ones I did for the MK Newbie swap recently were the first time I put something in the middle - usually there's a die cut over the hole (like a tree or leaf) or maybe fibers. This time I put translucent vellum behind the slide and heat embossed "pixie dust" onto it. Even for my Adventureland ones with the trees and leaves I put a transparency behind it.

OK, that's how I did mine before (I think...:rotfl2: can't remember much anymore these days) I bet the MK ones were cute, wish we could see the pics from that one.

Attractions Group C are the Swiss Family Treehouse ones with leaves & trees. (I was wrong - it wasn't Adventureland. ;) )
Attractions Group B are the castles with pixie dust. Check out AWM's Donald Duck's Boat ones while you're looking at this group. She actually printed Donald on transparency & mounted them under Bazzill Bling slides! Too cute!!! :teeth:

Hmmmmm...the link takes me to a pic of Hook...

OK - You need to click on the "Sub-Album" links above Hook to see them. Never mind.

Here's the treehouse one:

Will someone explain to me why those links are showing instead of the actual photos?!?!? Each one has the
- I don't get it!! :confused3

Maybe it's PhotoBucket? :confused3

I've uploaded those 3 to the DIS gallery & trying again. Please excuse the "fly dirt" on my scanner bed.

Thanks! They are all great! When I went to the sub groups, I got to see the full swap...very nice work!

Do you all have it figured out Debbie???
Just like the season slide mounts we did earlier this year..
I think some of them (the beach ones) you used 2 layers of card stock...
Whatever you want to do is fine!!! ;) :)

This swap is now closed but active.. please look for the progress thread to be available on Monday... This will include the numbers you need for each group, check in dates, and chit/chat!!! ;)
Have a great weekend everyone!

I bought my candy crusted cardstock for the St Pat's group today. I have my eyelets and ribbon.

For patriotic, I have them cut out. I have some sewing to do and then apply embellishments.

I have the CHristmas ones cut out. Now I have to work on the QK embellishments for those and get them stitched.
