Got a lovely pair of shoes whilst in Edinburgh at Jenners in their sale at 75% off They are purple with a high heel, peep toe and a broze colour on the straps and sole.

I have been doing quite a bit of holiday shopping lately and I have bought the following dresses:

Maxi dress for wearing either on ship or sight-seeing in the med:

Maxi dress for Parrot Cay restaurant:

Shorter length cocktail dress for evening on ship:

Per Una dress which I may well wear for Palo on the cruise:

Thanks Mandy. I still have to find a second formal, a semi-formal dress, a villains night dress ( purple / black theme ) and if possible a black / white one for Animator's Palate. Then thats it !!! May also need a couple more pairs of shoes to cover everything !

My wonderful DH bought me 2 lovely French Connection dresses in the sale, and the following week one of them had gone down by £45 and the week after that it went down another £15!! So both times DH spoke to the shop and they gave him a credit note........ it would have been such a shame to waste it so I persuaded him to let me use them towards this..... but in white

I went into town quickly this morning with DD and ended up buying a couple of dresses in New Look. I really wanted a maxi dress for my holiday but, being a short ****, they were all a bit long so I ended up with a 'midi' dress. Can't find a pic of it on the website, though, so will try and take a picture and post it later.

I also bought a short black spotty dress, which I plan to wear with leggings on the Saturday night of the girly weekend. No picture of that either but will try and take some later.

I saw a lovely maxi dress in Republic, but like you Joh I am 'vertically challenged' too and felt it would make me look rather dumpy, so I didn't bother
