it's time to get started. So post your holiday recipes. This could include cookies, gifts to be made ahead of time, etc. Esp. list if they can be made in advance and frozen, etc..

I would be interested in cookies that you can make that freeze well. I would like to get a lot of the holiday baking done this month as we will be at DW next month.

Here's my big holiday cookie baking tip: I like to make drop cookies, and have them from Thanksgiving thru Christmas. A few years ago, I tried this method and it has saved me so much time in the kitchen.

Set aside a couple of afternoons. Make a batch of dough, and drop the cookie dough balls onto sheets of waxed paper. Slide the waxed paper into your freezer for an hour or so until quite hard. While they are freezing, take a freezer ziploc baggie and write on it what kind of cookies they are, how hot the oven needs to be and how long they need to bake. Dump the dough balls into the baggies and store them in the freezer. When you want to bake, just take out as many balls as you need and cook them up. Very simple and very time saving!!!
