Holiday Parades at MGM and AK?

Hi all. How different are the afternoon holiday parades at MGM and AK? Is it basically the same parade as the rest of the year with different costumes or are there different floats as well? Thank you!

They are basically the same parades but with Christmas decorations added to the floats to make them special for this time of year. I didn't get a chance to see the MGM one, but I've seen the photos. The AK parade was well-done imo. Some different music, but its all the same floats, with some additions to some of the floats that are more or less pulled behind the usual float (Donald's float comes to mind). All of the floats for both parades are nicely decorated though so they do have a distinct Holiday feeling than the ordinary day-time parades have.

Does anyone know how long will they be decorated for the holiday? We will be in MGM on Mon Jan 2nd, and AK Thurs Jan 5th.

I am not 100% sure but when we were down two years ago, I believe it was January 2 that all the parades went back to normal. We saw the Christmas Parade in MK but also wanted to see the "water globe - what we call it" parade. We went back after New Years Eve and caught that one too.

The MGM parade overlay is just that, same parade, some more "fluff". It runs the same dates the Osborne Lights run (Nov 14 - Jan 8)
