Holiday inn lake buena vista/things to do?

Has anyone been to the Holiday inn lake buena vista? The web site looks really nice and the prices are good. Just wondering if it is a good place to go.
Also, I am coming down in beginning of February. What is good to do for a group of couple parents 35-40 and kids 10-5. We do not want to do disney this time. We would like to keep it a little less costly.

then don't stay on Disney property.
