Has anyone stayed here before? It's in Downtown Disney and used to be a Courtyard Marriot.

Thanks!

Boston,

I "tried" staying there this past summer, and actually check out after 1 day instead of 6.

Not a good place to stay. Many many issues, from no room available when trying to check in (I am Platinum with Marriott so that really got me mad), run down room when I finally got into one (very dirty with mold in the shower), poor service by employees (if somebody decided to stay an extra day in the room they had blocked off for us, how difficult it is to think, and be pro-active, and find a room where the a guest has checked out and put us in that room), hard time getting a roll-away cot in the room for my infant son to sleep on, the high-speed internet connection was down and the hotel didn't know - it took about 10 calls on my end to find out the whole hotel was down - and the last part was their restaurant didn't have over 80% of what was listed on the menu when we tried to order lunch.

At one point in time this used to be Courtyard's Signature Hotel, supposedly the best courtyard in the marriott system - that was 2 years ago. They lost their license because of the numerous issues.

DON"T STAY HERE

If you do a search on this board you will find a lot of different opinions about this hotel. I for one really liked it here. We went this past August, we didnt have the 20.03 rate but a $39. I requested a room in the tower and We had a view of the fireworks. We went with another family and they too really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were also really nice. We had no problems whatsoever. They used to have a manager's hour, i believe it was at 5 o"clock where the kids can get free popcorn and nachos, and free drinks. They had 2 pools plus a kiddie pool and a jacuzzi. I would definitely stay here again.

I would have done a search but that function has been taken away from the boards I guess. I find that when I go to Tripadvisor.com I get varying reports on some of the hotels also. I'm wondering though if when Holiday Inn took it over they revamped things a bit which is why you had a better time.

Thanks!
