We are going to MVMCP on Dec 2 since we will be in GAinesville that weekend for DS baseball tournament. I was thinking about staying at the Holiday Inn Family Suites since we are taking my mom and will either need a suite or 2 rooms. Good rate thru DU.

Has anyone stayed here? Just looking for info on how far from MK and airport and what your experience was.

Which one are you looking at? I haven't stay at any of them but I've been looking at suites for an upcoming trip. The holiday Inn sunspree seems to be the cheapist.

I assume your looking at the one that actually has Family suites in its name, however many of then have the kid suites

When are you going? I believe the only one wiht family suites in the name is closed for a while for the Nicolodeon renovations.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites (with a choo choo symbol?) They had a train that ran around the property and a great pool! I'm not sure if it is the one you are talking about or not. I know it is not the Sunspree resort. We had a wonderful time and the drive to WDW was very short. The resort was very nice and the children could eat free. We found the place to be nice and clean, with themed rooms for the suites. We had the jungle themed room. It had a large room with a pull out couch and a sink, small fridge, and a counter, one bathroom and two more rooms--one with bunkbeds, a video game and tv- and one with a king sized bed. We did not use the transportation provided, but drove to the parks daily. I believe our rate was about $100/ day.
Hope this helps you some.:wave2:

please keep in mind this hotel is remodeling, they are going through some changes, i called down for our trip in dec and found out some things will be closed like 1 of the pools and some other things, so i just decided to go condo cheaper and more good luck

We just stayed at HIFS www.hifamilysuites.com October 9-16 and found the renovations to be a minor imposition. The pool that is open was the large family pool anyway, the pool under renovation was the "quiet" pool. We found the free breakfast buffet and the location to be a big bonus. I timed the trip to Typhoon Lagoon - 7 minutes total, straight shot.
