trying to save some bucks has anyone stayed here can you please share your thoguhts

I stayed there in 10/02.... It was great, plenty of room to spread out, no fighting over the TV... a kitchenette to save & heat left overs... fun pool for the kids & we saved a ton of $ on meals... nothing fancy but breakfast was filling & plentyful! A think it was a great alternative!

We stayed there last May and we loved it. We are going to WDW again in May 2005 and I have considered staying there again but in truth Im worried that changing the hotel over to Nick isnt the best idea. I could be wrong because I've been wrong once b4. LOL Oh well maybe we can keep watching the boards for info. Right now though Im leaning towards WL.

Where do you normally stay? We stayed here one night on a rewards night and cannot see ever returning. This resort tries extremely hard, but if you are used to nicer hotels and resorts you will be very unhappy. For families on a budget this may be the best that they can afford. We could not stand all of the smokers that seemed to congregate around the entrances and exits of the common areas. People were smoking at the pool(with barefoot guests all around). This was fine for one night, but never again.

I agree, I will not be returning to this hotel soon. We were there 2 years ago and I was not impressed. I am not a hotel snob and have stayed at many Holiday Inns. This hotel (at the time) was run down. Our room - a family suite - was much smaller than I anticipated. In addition, everything was well worn. If I remember correctly, the walls were painted cement block. The laundry rooms were dirty and the pool was overcrowded. The breakfast was chaotic and we did not enjoy the food. We were there for one night and moved on to the ASSp. It was a huge step up.

I agree completely with the last two posters. This past July we stayed 11 nights on Priority Club Points. If I were a paying customer I would have gone elsewhere. For free, it was tolerable. The rowdy, noisy, chaotic atmosphere is just not our thing and I am not sure how the Bucket O' Beer special fits in with the "family" atmosphere they are trying to promote.

Hated it. We went 4 years ago and it was more like a big hotel room cut up into 3 rooms. Felt like a tiny apt. Maintence was a mess and it was a fairly new hotel at that time.
On the plus, we enjoyed the free breakfast, the nice pool area and the location. My DD 7 at the time, loved it.
We wouldn't go back- we just like more space and the whole suite advertisement, I felt was misleading. To me, it looked way bigger in the brochures than it actually was. JMO
