Hello my fellow Dis foodies! My name is Lori and I love all things pertaining to Disney Food. Instead of our annual F&W trip this year we decided to try the first week in December. I had our first little one in July and wanted him to not be totally newborn so his first trip was at 5 months. Along for this delicious trip were my DH Peter, son Alexander, FIL John, and MIL Carolyn. We stayed 6 nights at the newly renovated BC CL! So welcome all and can't wait to share our dining experiences.

After checking in we went to the newly renovated club lounge and it is three times the size as the old one! I will be doing a full food report on the lounge later in the report. For lunch we ventured over to the boardwalk area our first meal. We were on the regular Disney dining plan. My MIL and I had been dying to try lobster roll there. We each ordered that and she had a corn chowder and I had a side salad with fat-free Italian. We both had cupcakes for dessert. I could try the lobster roll we were both very disappointed and it really didn't have a lot of flavor and hardly any mayonnaise at all. Her corn chowder was delicious my side salad was nothing to get excited about. As beautiful as those cupcakes were neither us liked them after 2 bites. The frosting is not very good :( The boys decided to try the pizza window at the boardwalk. It's interesting with one dining credit you get one slice of pizza, if you used to dining credit to get a whole pizza two drinks and two desserts. Honestly it's one of the best deals and best kept secrets for the dining plan for quick service. Their pizza was huge and it was delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the pizza. For dessert they had the standard chocolate cake that comes with all the quick service meals.

After pool time we all went back and showered and went over to the club lounge. It was so nice having our door right next to it! Our last trip we were down the hall pretty far and it always was painful to walk to and from the lounge. The new lounge is comprised of the old lounge and they also knocked down the walls of two other rooms to expand it. The theme is very modern I wouldn't say very beach themed. The offerings were nice for dinner they had cheese, crackers, vegetables, dips, hummus, pb jelly shooters, rolls, salads, two hot offerings, and beer and wine. They now serve the beer and wine as before you just helped yourself. They were very generous with the adult beverages. Also the espresso machine is awesome, that alone is worth the CL for me haha. There was more than enough for dinner for our group.

Alexander's favorite were the apple slices!

I'm in! Congrats on your lil guy, he's a cutie!

Too bad you didn't like Boardwalk Bakery, DH and I did two Septembers ago. I was looking forward to going back this year!

Good to know about the pizza deal though, seems like a steal.

BC CL looks really great with the expansion. Looking forward to more reports!

Thanks so much! He makes life even more fun than it was before. Maybe I just ordered the wrong food at BW Bakery :lmao:

I'm in! Looking forward to your reviews.

Thanks for joining in!

The snacks at the BC CL look great!

They were fantastic! Next trip we are staying at the Poly for something different and I have heard there snacks are even better!!!

BC CL looks really great with the expansion. Looking forward to more reports!

I have to say the BC CL redo makes it one of the best now among the deluxe resorts. If only there was a view from the lounge than it would be even better.

The next morning we had breakfast in the club level lounge. I did not take pictures but it was your standard club level breakfast offerings. Fruit, bagels, oatmeal with delicious toppings, yogurt, pastries, cereal, muffins, hard-boiled eggs which are something that not all the lounges offer. It's a nice way to start the day. Huge perk for me is going to have a gingerbread latte every morning! For lunch we all had different food items from WS. My DH and MIL decided to grab something at the bakery in France. The new expanded bakery is just amazing in the dessert section alone. My DH and MIL both had the Croque Monsiour which was very good they both reported. My DH had the chocolate Meringue puff and my MIL had the Lemon meringue pie. She swears its as good as what she had in France. The only negative to the French bakery is the poor attitude of a lot of the staff. Almost felt like I was really in France's as we have been treated very rudely by people in various restaurants in France. Needless to say it's a wonderful bakery with a very nice lunch!

For lunch I tried something totally new and I was very excited to try The Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. Holy moly have not been depriving myself all these years!! I have the combination platter with lamb and chicken with hummus and delicious sides with yogurt. If you're on the dining plan it is an excellent use of the credit. Had baklava for dessert but I didn't try it I gave it to my father-in-law. Again this place was a real hit and I can't wait to go back. My FIL had noodles from Katsura Grill in Japan with green tea cake, he really enjoyed his meal. Overall it was a very nice lunch we all sat outside on the patio at Katsura grill and enjoyed different indulgences on a picture perfect day

Hi Lori! I was away from the boards during the busy holidays. When I returned recently I was very happy to see that you are doing a dining report. I'm all caught up now and looking forward to reading more. :thumbsup2

Happy New Year Barb! I have been enjoying your trip report as well!

Your baby is so adorable!
The Tangierine Café is one of my favorites, too. I can't wait to read the rest of your reviews!

We are staying club level for the first time at the Beach Club and Boardwalk Inn in November. Thanks for your wonderful pictures! We too find the lobster roll at the Boardwalk Bakery disappointing. Such wonderful chunks of lobster and yet the whole thing was still on the bland side.:confused3

We love Tangeriene Café, too. It always makes our must-do quick service list for Epcot, which is saying a lot, since there are so many fantastic restaurants. The Les Halles bakery case looks amazing. Can't wait to purchase some of those Macarons cookies to bring back for friends. What a great WDW/Epcot souvenir if we can get them home unbroken.

Yum! I really like Tangierine Cafe too :) Although I might be tempted by Les Halles next time!

How nice to try both CL resorts! BW CL is on my must try list.

Yay! A vettegirl report. Beautiful baby. Great photos so far. Can't wait for more.

Thank you so much :)

I am mad at myself for depriving myself of their delicious food all these years :rotfl2: They French Bakery has so many choices it's hard to pick just one item!!

Yum! I really like Tangierine Cafe too :) Although I might be tempted by Les Halles next time!

Why not try both :goodvibes
