Holiday Indulgence- A Delicious Food TR! Sanaa and Final Thoughts

Good to know you can still ask for the salad at Ohana. The lettuce wraps were NOT a favorite on our last trip. They were moved to the edge of the table where they sat conspicuously, uneaten except for a few nibbles by each child. I couldn't complain since we ate more than enough of the other items, but I was really disappointed that we couldn't just have a little of the old salad!

Your CHH food looks and sounds so good! I always get the same thing (fried shrimp) but lately the lobster rolls look really good! I agree with you about the broccoli. It is way better than plain broccoli.

I also agree with you about MK. I feel the same way about the food in DL, and of course my heart will always be in Anaheim. How nice that you get to go for a visit soon! Us too!

Great minds think alike!! Oh how we love our DL :)

Happy to see your new trip report and pics! We need to get together again soon for lunch or happy hour. Interested to hear your DL plans. We are going back in June and I'm planning (hubby doesn't know it yet) food and wine for October. Facebook me when you get a chance.

Can't wait to hear your plans at lunch this week!! :cool1:

Mmm, Columbia Harbor House one of my perennial favorites. Looks like everyone left happy and you finally got a good lobster roll.

Love the dumbo pic ; )

Thank You :goodvibes

Thanks to our friends here on this board the salad is alive and well.

So many yummy choices so far! I am very interested in your club level offerings as we are doing our first CL stay at the Beach Club this March. Did you eat at Yachtsmand at all this trip? That is my one ADR I am feeling a little nervous of as I am hearing quite mixed reviews. Your little boy is SO adorable; as a mom of three boys I can safely say no one loves their momma like a little boy. Looking forward to reading more!

The offerings at the BC are plentiful. The breakfast is a bit repetitive but the dinner selections to change every evening. You're going to love the size of the new lounge. We did eat at YM and I will be reviewing that later on in the dining report. But please don't feel bad about the yachtsmen, it's been a favorite of mine for years. Awe 3 boys, how fun!! I can already tell mine is Mommy's little man :)

For dinner that evening we had the offerings in the club lunch. Did not take pictures but I do remember we were full. Lunch the next day was at a must do for us at Yak & Yeti. My inlaws had not been there before and we're in for a real treat. The first time we set downstairs near the bar. For those of you that may no not know this they are owned by at Laundrys restaurant group. For my entree I had the seafood curry. I get this every single time and it is so unique and delicious. It has a coconut curry broth with shrimp, Mahi Mahi, scallops, mussels, tomatoes, and garnished with cilantro. My husband always gets the ribs with double rice and they are among the best he has ever had! Their fried rice is soooo good! My FIL had the skirt steak and MIL had the tempura shrimp. Both really enjoyed their entrees. For dessert both my FIL and I had the fried wontons. Perfection on a plate!!! My DH and MIL each had cheesecake which was great too. If your looking for a restaurant that's a little bit unique with an Asian flair this is the place to go. Alexander enjoyed the atmosphere! They even have him a kids menu that I brought home to put in his memory book! So excited about dessert I forgot to take pictures sorry guys :(

Looking forward to the DL pictures!

I need to try those ribs at Y&Y. They look great and get such good reviews.

Love the picture of Alexander and Dumbo, looks like he's having a good time.

They were fantastic! Next trip we are staying at the Poly for something different and I have heard there snacks are even better!!!

Only CL I've tried was Poly and the lounge was awesome.

Was the lobster roll at Boardwalk Bakery actually mayo free? I prefer mine hot buttered, no mayo so that would be a plus for me!

Thanks for sharing your reviews and pics!

Wow, your curry looks delicious. I've never seen that one before. And your son is just precious!

I can't wait to try the Poly next for CL. The lobster roll sure seemed mayo free to me, there was no butter either.

Update!
For dinner that evening we all decided to get something from around the world as a QS. My DH and FIL had currywurst hot dogs in Germany with the delicious apple strudel. We lucked out and found a table in a very crowded area. My MIL and I decided to try Mexico. She had the nachos, which I love, and I had the tacos. Everything was delicious as were the churros. Overall it was a nice relaxing evening and after dinner we strolled back to the CL and sampled some of the decadent desserts. Sorry no pics for that evening.

On a sidenote I just spent three wonderful days at Disneyland and wanted to share my dining reviews with you. Day 1 I had a cozy Cone in Carsland. My favorite is the chicken Verde with tomatillo sauce and light cheese on top in a bread come. So good and was enough for lunch! I just love the theme here!! Later on that afternoon I decided to be really bad and I had a delicious corndog. I never eat corn dogs but it Disneyland they are so good I couldn't pass it up. Day 2 Lunch at the Blue Bayou This is my first solo dining experience here, well I did have a six-month-old with me, technically not solo haha. The ambience in this restaurant is unlike any other place I've ever been to. You truly feel like you're sitting outside at night by the bayou. I was greeted with the friendly server who brought out an iced tea for me promptly.
