I am at Disney right now and the CMs at the DVC kiosks are saying that there are incentives that are for current members that are at Disney right now (can't get these from home) and they are the best ones that have been offered since DVCs inception. Did anyone go to the 30-minute presentation and find out what the incentives are? We have an appointment tomorrow, but I would rather just get the info. here and make the decision to go or not. TIA :goodvibes

We heard that too. When I asked my guide (when signing my BLT add-on) he said that the incentives were for AKV & GCV. GCV would get you annual passes (2 for WDW & 2 for DLR) and a pretty hefty point off per person (more than the low this summer, but still aggressive) and they were offering 100 initial buy in @ AKV as well as aggressive point off per point (more than the low offered this summer). That's what I was told anyway, would like to hear if something else is coming up.

We just went to the meeting and purchased another 200pts at Kidani at $89pp. Good deal only if you are at Disney right now.

When we went to the Merry Mixer on Dec 3rd, a CM told us about the incentives. We signed up for a tour of BLT and there they offered us incentives.

I don't remember the specifics, but it was something like this for BLT...
For small addons (50-99), the incentive was $5/pt.
100-??? $9/pt
???-??? $11/pt
Highest addon range was $13/pt

Also, we were told the offer was only valid while we were at Disney. However, our guide did call to add that we could leave a message for him while we were still there and they could start the paperwork. Completing it from our house.

Wow! I wish we could have done that! We were there for 4 hours :scared1: yesterday adding on 400 pts at GCV :dance3: With my brothers CM discount it came out to $80.20 per pt - couldn't pass it up :woohoo:

Great price? Can you brother adopt me? :rotfl:

Does anyone know when this new incentive ends? I am hoping to add on at GCV and am very interested in this deal. I won't be arriving at DisneyWorld until the evening of New Year Eve.

I would call your guide and let them know you are coming - we added on GC the 1st part of December while we were at DW. We couldn't pass it up - definitely worth checking it out and they made it quick. We made our deposit while we were there and they sent the paperwork home to finish.

That stinks- we are going to add on, but no trip planned until May. I wish they'd offer these deals to all current members!

They are offering $112 per point for AKV, $1500 off total cost of ownership, maintenance fees of $500 / year ("animals"), and initial buyin with a 100-point package - offer good until end of stay. We could also get our 100 points for 2009. Works out to $162 per month on Disney's 10-year financing (10% APR) or $221 per month with 5-year Disney financing. We can still prepay early without penalty.

Does this sound pretty good? We could always add points later.

I don't think it is bad, if you are only looking at 100 points. It ends up at $97.00 a point. Resale might save you a little, but the financing is not as easy this way and it could take 2 months from start to finish. With Disney, you will have your points within a day or so.

And, you are getting 2009 points with the same UY without much trouble (not impossible with resale but it does take time to find the right contract).

Of course, if you are in no rush, you may want to wait as who knows what might happen in the next month or so. Incentives have not really been changed in awhile and I know last year, new ones came out in January. I have not heard anything but you never know.

Good luck!

Is that the California one? I see people talk about it but I don't know what it is!!!:confused3
