Hello - we are traveling with 10 people next February and wondering what the experienced Disney World travellers think about where we should stay. We were planning on booking 3 rooms, but I hear there is the option to get a villa or townhouse at the resort? Anybody have experience with that - nice, affordable? We have to stay on resort due to the size of our group and like the option to go back for a few hours without everyone having to agree.
Also, if we stay at a resort, would you recommend to get a moderate resort since the rooms are bigger? 4 to a room (all adults) can be a bit clastrophobic, especially over 8 nights.

Does anyone know when the seasons and rates for 2005 are announced? When can we start booking?

The DVC resorts have 3 or 3 bdroom accomodations with a full kitchen, washer/dryer etc. The 2 bedroom sleeps 8 and 3bedroom sleep 12. OKW are the largest of the villas, but BCV and BWV are very convenient for (walk or boat)MGM/Epcot; VWL are a boat ride from MK. You can reserve them through disney(if avaliable) or you can check the DVC rent board here and rent from a DVC owner. Be prepared, if you stay at DVC once, YOU WILL BE SPOILED!

depending on season:(these are in Birnbaum's 2004 book)

OKW 2 bdroom $479-$680; 3bdroom $1040-$1310
BCV " " $545-$890 (no 3bdroom villas?)
BWV same as BCV fro 2bdroom; 3 bd room $1320-$1695
VWL 2bdroom $535-$810

You can usually rent thru an owner at 10/pt and points per night vary by resort and are higher on fri and sat.
