Hubby and I have already booked our holiday trip for 2007 and I just want to make sure that I've got a few things straight:

MVMCP: I know that one is at Magic Kingdom and requires a special ticket. When do those tickets typically go on sale?

Orborne Lights: Those are at MGM right? Do we need a special ticket or just our park tickets?

Candlelight Processional: At Epcot, right? I thought I heard it takes place at World Showcase, but where exactly and are special tickets required for this? Any other information about this one would be appreciated.

Also, any other tips or hints about the holidays at WDW would be great. We are booked for the week after Thanksgiving, arriving on that Sunday.

I think we ordered them around the end of October.

Just park tickets, I highly recoomend this! It was awesome, especially when they dance!

This is in the theater right by the water in front of the American pavillion. Another thing not to miss! Very inspirational. The only tickets available that I know of is if you buy the dinner package.

We were there this year the first week in December, and it is an awesome time to go. Hope you enjoy it! Grab the free cookies and hot chocolate before the fireworks at MVMCP! Don't miss the snow on Main Street and at the Osbourne lights. World Showcase was just wonderful to visit with the decorations and storytellers.

We just had our 10th anniversary holiday trip and it was wonderful. The Candlelight Processional was my favorite. It's at the the American Gardens theater, an amphitheater in front of the American pavilion at World Showcase in Epcot. I highly recommend getting the dining package for this. It gives you reserved seats in the theater and a meal at one of the Epcot restaurants. Without the reserved seats, there are long lines, and you might not get in. We saw people lined up hours ahead of time.

The Osborne Lights are at MGM each night and all you need is park admission to see them. MVMCP was great, too. The parade and fireworks were wonderful, and we enjoyed the cocoa, cookies, and Twas the night before Christmas show, also. Don't expect really low crowds during this, though. The night we went was sold out, and even with some periods of heavy rain, it was pretty crowded. I'm not sure when they start selling tickets, but we had ours a couple of months before we went. Also, be sure to visit some of the different resorts and check out the decorations. The gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian lobby was incredible. Enjoy your planning and have a great trip!

I'd be interested in any tips and info as well. We will be joining friends at the Shades of Green Resort in WDW for Christmas 2007. We've been to WDW many times, but never around Christmas.:santa:

We just returned and had a great time.
MVMCP was a lot of fun. Using Tour Guide Mike's advice for MVMCP was great. We were able to see the holiday fireworks, parade, and shows, and still had a chance to go on several rides with very little wait. Our kids got to do the Speedway for the first time because the wait was 10 minutes instead of the normal 45. We also did Pirates (about 20 minutes) and Haunted Mansion (0 minutes).
I wouldn't do MVMCP specifically for attractions, but it was nice to have the chance to do some with minimal waits and still have time for all the Christmas stuff.

The Candlelight Processional was really beautiful, but our younger kids(2 and 6) got bored. The music and singing was amazing and Neil Patrick Harris did a really nice job with the readings. If you want to see it, I HIGHLY recommend the dinner package. We did a lunch seating at Biergarten and spent about $50 more for the package for our 3 "adults" and 2 kids(because I couldn't use my DDE discount), but it was worth it. People were already lining up for the CP at least an hour and a half before the show. With the package, we walked up about 40 minutes before the show, waited in line for 10 minutes, then were let in and had great seats about 3 rows back.

The Osborne lights were really amazing. Picture an area several blocks long with practically every square inch of the buildings on either side covered with christmas lights that flash and dance to the sound of music. No additional ticket is needed, you can just walk through while you are at MGM.

Thanks for all the great information. We can hardly wait to go and watching the parade yesterday got us even more excited for our holiday trip. I told hubby this morning that 11 months from now, we'll be there!!
