We just put up the tree yesterday, but have not done the ornaments yet. This was my favorite photo of it.

Gorgeous!!!
WOW! How many lights is that! It's so beautiful!

And here's a close up of our front door

I finally finished the new wreath, I forgot all the little work that goes into them.

Where did you find that door cover??? Wow!

LOVE the wreath!!!
We got the door cover from the Disney Store online last year after Christmas. I hate having my front door covered because the way our house is set up, I can't see who's at the door. But I LOVE that door cover, so I'll make an exception.![]()
Great pictures, everyone! I love the Mickey wreath that was posted!
I haven't got our tree put up yet (this year it'll be kitschy 1950s-style, a white tree with all pink ornaments!), but here is the snow village that I made:

I wanted it to look retro-1950s style, and couldn't find anything that fit the bill, so I made it myself!

Closeup of the church & a couple of the houses. The sisal trees I bought at Wal-Mart, and painted white; "ornaments" are thrifted mercury glass balls & sequins.

The only use for a fireplace here in Arizona! Please forgive the exposed extension cord in the picture; I've not yet unpacked/set up the faux Xmas trees that go in front of them.
Are you kidding me?? Someone takes a fun, happy thread and does something as juvenile as that?
If it's the web site I think it is, the people who post there are complete idiots who have nothing better to do than poke fun at others.. They obviously have no life and act like a bunch of mean spirited 13 yr. olds..
PLEASE put your photos back up! We're here to enjoy this thread - not act like immature children..![]()

What is wrong with people?
I guess just be glad that you don't have to buy for someone like that. Someone who's not happy and always has somthing negative to say about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in their life. I mean for goodness sake, that person should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such hurtful and negative intentions behind their actions! PLEASE PUT YOUR PICTURES BACK UP!

Even the Lava Lamp gets decorated for Christmas!
), and couldn't find anything similar. So, I first made the patterns for the "buildings", based on that style of house. Then I made all the little houses & the church out of cardboard, masking tape, paint, glitter, and pipecleaners. It was a fun project!I just wanted to tell you all thank you so much for the pictures.. I love each and every one of them!
I was just telling DH yesterday that I dont plan on decorating this year other than putting up the main tree and just putting lights on the house.. I just havent been in the spirit of any of the holidays this year.. My grandmother and my uncle both passed away earlier this year and the holidays are just hard for me this year..
I still dont think I will be decorating this year, so I am really enjoying looking at everyone elses..
So sorry to hear that you lost your grandmother and uncle this year. We just lost my Grandma in September and it is hard for our family, too. I hope your family has a blessed Holiday season and hopefully your family can create some new happy memories of your loved ones that are still with you this year.
