mbfqueen - I love your white Christmas tree! We used to live in a bi-level and we had a green tree in the basement with all Disney ornaments and a white tree upstairs in the picture window. One year I had all blue lights on it, it was pretty, but I LOVE the multi-colored lights on white trees.

I let the kids choose the color of the tree .. its turned into an accidental tradition for us lol ..

Now around Thanksgiving or so when it comes up, they talk and we look at a cool color for a tree .. and just use those colors .. we have about 4-5 yrs worth and it's been pretty fun ..

This color is my youngest all time favorite color EVER, (this year) lol ..

My DH wants to know who you are LOL he thinks I am living a double life.He thought no one would have the same simple taste I have. I LOVE YOUR DECORATIONS . I just emailed the link to the thread to my tree decorator . I have to know where you found those glittery presents ????

How did you make the mickey wreath? I'm so NOTcreative so that's why I ask. So pretty! Nice job!

It's so easy. You buy 2 wreaths and cut one in half. Then wrap the exposed (cut) wires on the back of the whole wreath and make the ears. I use floral wire to attach the bows, that way I don't have to wrap them around the wreath and smush the branches. The biggest pain is wrapping the lights. I had an extra set of regular red and green and it was 100 lights. And lastly I always use regular ornament hooks, but I bend them in half and twist them on a branch like a twist tie, that way I don't have to worry about them falling off should it get bumped.

The decorations are really just things I have around the house. Oh and it's best to use wire ribbon, it will hold the shape so much better. Here is a picture of the first one I made. The gold bells were napkin holders that I never used. And the red berries were from a failed attempt of floral arranging! But I really think the trick is balance, not too much and not too little. You don't want it to look too busy or boring.

I don't know which picture of the living room I like better so I am posting them both. I took these last night before kitty dashed up the tree and broke the star this morning. Grr. LOL I'll post pics of the outside just as soon as I get a night without rain!
