What is the taboo about putting holiday cards in neighbors' mailboxes instead of mailing them? I don't understand why it's a problem walking next door and putting the card in their mailbox. My neighbors seems to think that it's rude-she says just stick a stamp on it and mail it for goodness sake. I mail cards to people who don't live in my development. Why would I do it for my next door neighbor? Any wisdom?

My immediate neighbors got their Christmas cards put in their mailboxes or handed straight to them. The ones I handed the cards to, I even made the comment that I was saving the cost of the stamp. :p We even "hand-deliver" (to each other's mailboxes) invitations and thank you notes. No big deal between my neighbors and I, but obviously your neighbor has an issue. I wish I had words of wisdom, but I don't. Personally, I don't think there is a problem with it.
