We got a lovely holiday card from our guide with a picture of his family and a nice note. Anyone else?

I never hear from my guide. My guide made a point of telling me that she always calls her people before their first trip, and she never called me. As a matter of fact, I called her midway through my first trip, while I was standing on Main Street to tell her how happy I was I bought DVC.

But once the contract was signed, and payment made, I never heard from her again unless I initiated it.

We do not hear from our guide in this manner. DH asked me this just the other day, he thought we would.

15 years ago when we lived in PA, our son bought a car from a dealership and we still get a Holiday card from them, somehow they got our Ohio address. I suppose it would be a nice gesture, but only if it did come from our guide and not just from a computer somewhere.

My guide has left messages in my room on my last two trips. First was a welcome home, the second encouraging me to do an addon with the incentive, and a little explanation about how it worked.

That's actually more than I expected once I made the purchase, but it makes me feel that I can call if I have quesitons, etc.

I never heard anything from my guide and found out recently that I had been assigned a new one. She made contact with me via phone over a month ago. Two days ago FedEX dropped a DVC information packet on my doorstep that I did not request. It was the one they send to people seeking information for the first time. I can only assume that the call from my new guide is what instigated the delivery. I know it's silly, but I'm a bit peeved as I keep wondering how many of these packets are sent out overnight and what kind of cost is involved. I believe I read somewhere on this board that those expenses don't affect our maintenance fees, etc. -- I certainly hope that's the case, or I'll be even more irritated!

I never hear from our guide - disappointing to say the least since I've already told her that we'd like to add on at some point in the near future.

Can you request a new guide with the stipulation that they have to care enough to stay in contact?! :rotfl:

Lisa, This only means you are meant to do an add-on! ;)

We only talk to our guide when we are adding on or cruising! :rotfl: :rotfl:

We've never heard anything from our guide. Not a peep. At this point, I'm not sure if the person listed in our packet even still works for DVC.

During a weak moment, my DH and I were discussing an add-on. If we'd had a guide who actually communicated with us, we'd have probably bought. But noooooo. So whoever it is lost a sale.

We all used to receive Christmas cards from DVC. Two come to my mind - the one with ther arrows pointing to OKW, HH & VB, & the other one with Mickey & Minnie siting in front of the fire.

Our guide leaves us a message during every trip and it never is a sales pitch to do an add on. My sis is looking into buying and is her guide also. We did get a card in the mail encouraging us to encourgage her to buy, which I really didn't like.

I have gotten one call from my rep. once when I booked into VWL Villas - Get cards and little brochures all the time signed by her personally also.

We receive a Christmas Card from our DVC Guide every year since our initial purchase in 1992.

I've never received a card from my guide either but never really gave it any thought until this post. Annmarie

We have received calls while at Disney from our guide......she usually calls late afternoon and leaves a voicemail for us...basically "Hope you're having a great time this week ....if you need anything or I can help with anything, please call me. " Also, DH and I stopped in to the DVC office just to say Hi
when we were there last spring...we chatted for about 10 minutes. We were staying at SS so we were right there and it was a nice way to communicate anything we had on our minds and also kept us fresh in her mind since it had been three years since we had seen her last.
