MK parades: on non MVMCP nights, during the week preceeding Christmas, will the night and day parade be Christmas themed or will it be the regular parade, Spectromagic and Share a Dream Come True?

MGM: Do the Osbourne Lights continue until park closing? I would like to see them after Fantasmic.

Epcot: Do the Lights of Winter, along with the Fountains continue until park closing? I am seeing the CP at 5 and have an ADR after at 7. I would like to see them in between the CP and ADR.

I think they start showing the MVMCP parade during the day the week before Christmas.. or maybe its when MVMCP stops. Im not sure of an exact date, but I DO know they start showing it before Christmas in the afternoon. Up until then it will be a non christmas themed Share A Dream Come True. Spectro is also unthemed.

Osbourne Lights will be on up to, and after park closing, We have walked over to see them after Fantasmic.

The Lights of winter are on up until Illuminations. I cant remember if they still have them on as we leave the park. Last year we stayed at Dolphin, so we never went out that way. They WILL be on between your 5 & 7 time frame! So no need to worry about that!!

Thanks for the info. We have never been to WDW and are looking forward to our first trip being during the holidays, which is my favorite time of year. Unfortunately, I believe the Lights of Winter are on the other side of the WS from our ADR at Le Cellier so we may have to see them another day. If I am not mistaken, we should be able to get a good place for illuminations around Le Cellier? Any suggestions on a good view close by there?

Nope.. Lights of Winter are in between Canada and Mexico. As you walk past the big fountain towards the lake, you will walk under the lights of winter. Then you can go left to Mexico or Right to Canada. If you are at CP near American Adventure, just walk the opposite way to canada, and pass the lights.

There are lots of places to see Illuminations. Im sure there are great spots near Canada!!

Tinkerific.. what dates will you be there?

If its early in December, you will have low crowds and it will be great! You picked a great time to make your first trip. The decorations are just so beautiful at Disney at Christmas!!! We have been going on 2 trips a year.. because I love being there over thanksgiving while the kids are off so I can get the holiday experience! There are also story tellers in each country of Epcot that tell of Christmas in their country. Also.. last year.. there was a special extra long ending to Illuminations that they said was for the holidays!! It was awesome! Are you planning on going to MVMCP? We also try to resort hop and check out the deluxe resorts decorations!

The Christmas parade replaces the afternoon parade (SADCT) after the last MVMCP is held.

Yes. As long as the park isn't closing for a special (non-public) event, you can walk back to see the Lights after Fantasmic - even if Fanstasmic finishes after the official park closing.

That should work. The tree lighting ceremony (Lights of Winter are turned on as part of the ceremony) begins about 6 pm every evening. The Lights of Winter remain on until after the guests all leave for the evening. I don't remember for sure if they are dimmed during IllumiNations, but I suspect they are.

Best wishes-
