Hole punched in KTTW card to hang on lanyard?

Last year we were on another cruise line that punched a hole in our cruise cards so that they could be attached to a lanyard and hung around our necks. This came in very handy and I wondered if Disney did the same with their KTTW cards. Any info on this would be very helpful.

You can go to guest services and ask for a hole punch.......don't forget to punch the opposite side of the arrow. You CAN NOT punch a hole in the card if you are going to use it at the Parks. It will not go thru the fast pass or entrance with a hole in it.

Better check it out first, I was told that if you put a hole in your KTTW card, it makes it not valid..
Hope I'm wrong but check it out first! Better to be safe than sorry!

I thought I read that they put a hole through the kids cards if you turn off charging privledges? Do they sell special lanyards on board, or should I bring along some from the various trade shows I've gone to?

The only places that the card won't work is where the card has to go all the way thru. Chargeing privilages are like a credit card swipe and the room is just like a hotel. Punch the hole opposite of the arrow in the mddle.

In June 02, they punched my ds's when we requested it when we
registered him in the clubs.

This past June, when dh removed ds's charging priviledges, they did it at guest services. I can not remember if they did it automatically or my dh asked them to do it.

In both cases, ds did not have any problem using his card in the door or at the clubs.

We were just on the Dec 13th Magic and the two 17 year olds with us just went to guest services and they punched a hole opposite the magnetic stripe. No problem, the girls used them for purchasing and also getting off/on ship. We gave them Old Navy lanyards as a little present when we boarded (by the way .47 clearance rack). Best thing we bought, they loved them and used them the entire week, with no worry of losing card.

My Dd's didn't want the necklace "laynard" so I got them a double ended keychain. Just a simple clip on each end to hang on their belt loop.
