My DH got a hole-in-one today! I'm so thrilled for him and I wanted to brag about him.

It was the perfect thing to happen for him since his mother had emergency brain surgery this past week. He was stressed, to say the least... we all were. She's doing remarkably well and when he decided to golf today, he never expected to have the ultimate golf experience! He just thought he was going to blow off some steam.

Congrats to him. Make sure he registers it with the PGA-they send you stuff. Also, some club manufactures will send you stuff if you hit the hole in one with their clubs. I know Ping does for sure. It is worth checking into :thumbsup2.

That's so cool! We'll definitely check that out. I think it was either his ping or a hybrid he hit.

I've also started looking for a trophy case so we can mount his score card and ball on the wall.

Golfgal, have you ever had one? I know it's nothing short of a miracle when it happens.

:banana:Congratulations to your husband!!!!

I don't golf, so I'd be lucky to get a hole in 17

That's why there's beer on the golf course... to ease the pain. :rotfl:

SCHBR'smom, we have the same sofa!

Nope, I have never had one. The closest I have come is 8" and I know that because there was a closest to the hole contest on that hole that day :lmao:. My DH's aunt took up golf at age 75 and has had 4 hole in ones-amazing. A good friend of ours played Division I golf, was a golf pro at a golf club, amazing golfer and got his first hole in 1 last week. He has had TWO double eagles though.

See, the 2 double eagles show that he's a better golfer than a hole in one does... I won't tell DH that while he's on his high, though. He's still on the phone in the other room calling his friends to tell them.

That's so wonderful! There must be something about that adreneline after a life crisis. DH got his hole in one a few days after his mother went to the hospital for blood clots and had to miss DH's brother's wedding. I just hope your DH didn't do what mine did-I was at home hoping all was well when he called unexpectedly breathlessly announcing "guess what just happened!" I figured it concerned his mother, so when he then told me about his hole in one, I must admit that my initial reaction wasn't pleasure.

Congrats to DH :thumbsup2

I've hit the pin twice but never had it stick ..... I'll never give up.

He was better than that. He started out talking about other things and just added that into the conversation. I replied, "Get the heck... come on... really?" He's still on cloud nine and he's the talk of the town. News spreads fast around here.
