Holding point ?? Where can they be used?

I know I must book within 60 days of the trip, but I need to know if I can use holding points for the Disney Collection. We are interested in staying one night at a Deluxe before our cruise in September. I know you can use them for DVC stay, and the COncierge Collection, but for some silly reason I am not sure if they can be used at a deluxe.

They can, but in addition to the normal rules for Holding points, the trip must be booked more than 60 days before the end of your Use Year (a rule that applies to all bookings in the Disney Collection.)

Ohhhhh I might squeek in... I beleive these are from my Decmeber UY so I would have untill Nov 30th to use them IN DVC... so 60 days before that... is September 30th and I need the reservations for September 28th!

If the holding points are from my August UY.... anyone want to rent 81 holding points to use in DVC by the end of this month??

Just to clarify - you certainly can use points to stay at one of the Disney Collections resorts during the last 60 days of your use year. What you can't do, is also make the reservation for that stay during the last 60 days of your use year. So if you want to stay at a non-DVC WDW resort in the last 60 days of your use year, you just have to make the reservation prior to
October 1.

If the points you want to use for the DC ressie are in the holding account, then there is an additional restriction. In that case, the soonest you can make a reservation for the Disney Collection resort is 60 days prior to arrival.

So in this case, you would have to make the reservation less than 60 days ahead of arrival but before October 1.

Anyway, if you are trying to use December 2004 use year points for the Disney Collection ressie, you have plenty of time to make the reservation - even though the points are also in the holding account. The only problem might be availability at the destination resort.

As you already know, you cannot use holding account points from your August 2004 use year for anything but a DVC reservation or perhaps a late deposit into II. It's too late - there are only a couple of weeks left in your August 2004 use year.
