I have just been on the phone to MS and apparently it is still under the old rules ie call 60 days before check out, you cannot book on 60 day prior to check in day plus 7 like you can with normal points, is this right?

When I looked into a couple of weeks ago, we could call 60 days from check in. The only issue was if there was a day that wasn't available in the middle of the trip, they couldn't book the days after because they were outside of 60 days.

I would call back. It's always been 60 days before check-in for holding points.

no it's not right.
Happened to me on DEC 3 trying to book for Feb 1./09 Cm got me a AKV value studio
then said I had to wait till check-out to book. I called back next day and talked to Beatrice (9 yr CM) and she said it was always check-in with holding pts. I then got VWL for FEB 1-6
