Hold Up, I'm Playing Temple Run! It's a Birthday Celebration! *Updated 6/17*

Thursday, January 19th

After breakfast, we left Cindy's castle and headed for Haunted Mansion! On the way there, I got A LOT of "Happy Birthdays" from Cast Members. It's kind of weird, because usually they say "Happy Birthday, *your name*" and at first you're confused because somebody's calling your name lol!

No line!

As we were walking out of HM, the band started to play!

We didn't watch for too long before going to look in the Christmas shop

We walked around Swiss Family Robinson's Tree House
IMG_0428.jpg

IMG_0433.jpg

IMG_0437.jpg

I'd want to live in their treehouse!

Next up was the Tiki Room, because we hadn't seen it since it was redone back to the more original version
IMG_0440.jpg

Next up was POTC
IMG_0442.jpg

No wait, of course.
There wasn't any smoke with Blackbeard's face on it! Very dissapointing
IMG_0443.jpg

IMG_0444.jpg

Next, we wanted to ride BTMRR... but...
IMG_0445.jpg

So we decided to leave, we had really done a lot that morning (and it wasn't even 11 o'clock yet!)

On our way out
IMG_0446.jpg

IMG_0447.jpg

IMG_0448.jpg

IMG_0449.jpg

Security was EVERYWHERE, because Obama was coming today, remember?

On our way out, we also saw two guys just hanging out by the railing in front of the bag check. They were dressed as typical tourists, but they were just standing there, talking. Mom said they were security guards undercover.

We ended up being the only ones on the bus!
IMG_0451.jpg

When we finally got back to POP all we wanted to do was relax...

Nice updates!! I have eaten at CRT a few times for my birthday, and I had a blast, too! I do agree with you that it is mainly a girl thing to do. :P

Thursday, January 19th

We were the only ones on the bus back to the Pop Century, making it a nice, relaxing ride of me playing Temple Run (;

When we finally got back to the Pop, we went straight for our room
IMG_0452.jpg

IMG_0454.jpg

Only problem was, housekeeping was there. So we decided to go walk around the little lake and look at the year signs
IMG_0457.jpg

Me and the year I was born
IMG_0458.jpg

IMG_0459.jpg

I like how it's about Toy Story, some years had some pretty lame ones

J's year
IMG_0460.jpg

Joe's year

IMG_0465.jpg

I'm not sure what I'm doing, I think I was looking at these ducks
IMG_0466.jpg

FINALLY our room was ready! You have no idea how badly I wanted a nap, remember, I was pretty sick this whole trip
IMG_0479.jpg

IMG_0480.jpg

IMG_0481.jpg

After a nice nap, we decided to go to Epcot! Yay! We had awesome luck with buses.
IMG_0483.jpg

As we entered Epcot, two security guards sang happy birthday to me!

Once inside, we went straight for Soarin' FPs
IMG_0485.jpg

For dinner I was feeling Chinese food- got to be the best fried rice ever
IMG_0488.jpg

After dinner we went to go ride Soarin
IMG_0490.jpg

IMG_0492.jpg

It was awesome, because as we got the end of the line, where they put you off in row 1, 2, or 3, the CM putting you into the lines told me we could go in row 1 since it was my birthday! The guy and girl in front of us in line were cool, the guy told me happy birthday. My mom said he probably was a cast member and was so used to telling everyone happy birthday when he saw happy birthday pins, that's why he told it to me. It made sense, the two definitely looked like Disney CMs.

Afterwards we rode Living with the Land
IMG_0495.jpg

IMG_0494.jpg

IMG_0496.jpg

We ended off the night by doing some shopping in Mouse Gears. I got a white scarf and my mom got the same one, but in blue. It has little mickey heads on it (you'll see pictures of us wearing the scarves in future pictures) but they're not very noticeable. I got a minnie mouse ipod cover, and new sunglasses since my old ones broke. These looked just like them, except they're pink not white!

A CM in Mouse Gears saw my birthday pin as my mom was jokingly telling me to buy this little girl poofy skirt, he asked how old I was and I told him 16. He told us his grand daughter just turned 14 and she wouldn't be caught dead wearing a little kid skirt like the one my mom was joking about. He was nice and we talked to him for a little while.

Even though Epcot was opened until midnight, we left at about 7:30- lol. Going in the winter vs going in the summer is so different. On this trip, at 7:30 it was pitch black outside, whereas in the summer it doesn't get dark until way later. Also, we're so used to be getting up early for school, that getting up early wasn't a big deal for us. During the summer it's the hardest thing in the world. So while we would usually stay until midnight, we just couldn't make it! Not after waking up so early in the morning and being on the move the whole day, not even with a little nap put in there!

So we left Epcot and called it a night!

Sounds like a great first day! Epcot was empty. I don't blame you for calling it an early night-- you guys got so much done in the one day.

Friday, January 20th

We woke up VERY early this day and got ready to make it to Animal Kingdom for rope drop!
IMG_0497.jpg

IMG_0498.jpg

IMG_0499.jpg

IMG_0501.jpg

We were at the very front of the crowd of people, right along side the rope.
Once the rope dropped, we made our way for Expedition Everest!

IMG_0505.jpg

IMG_0506.jpg

IMG_0509.jpg

IMG_0510.jpg

It was very fun and there was absolutely no wait! On our way off, we picked up some FPs for later
IMG_0511.jpg

IMG_0512.jpg

Aren't my nails perfect for animal kingdom??

Next we made our way for the Safari! There was nobody in sight on our way there
IMG_0513.jpg

IMG_0514.jpg

IMG_0515.jpg

First row!
IMG_0517.jpg

TONS of hippos
IMG_0520.jpg

IMG_0521.jpg

My favorite- the giraffes!
IMG_0523.jpg

IMG_0528.jpg

Elephants, another favorite!
IMG_0530.jpg

IMG_0532.jpg

The Lion was out!
IMG_0537.jpg

And a rhino woohoo
IMG_0539.jpg

After our safari, we started to make our way to ride Dinosaur when we ran into this lady! I spotted her first and my mom and I had a great time watching her and laughing at the surprised expressions on everyone's faces as they walked by and realized there was a woman!
IMG_0542.jpg

IMG_0543.jpg

SO COOL! It stinks my dad and brothers missed her, I've always wanted to see DiVine and I'm so glad we got to, it was really awesome!

Thanks for reading (:
Usually we do drive down, but since this was a shorter trip than normal, and it was just my mom and I, it was easier and less time consuming for us to fly! It's also waaay cheaper for two people to fly down versus five lol

Friday, January 20th

After our encounter with DiVine, we continued on our way to Dinoland. I was hungry, so we got some Chip And Dale trail mix
IMG_0544.jpg

And then rode Dinosaur!
IMG_0547.jpg

IMG_0548.jpg

I love getting the cards to see how long the line is lol
IMG_0549.jpg

I'll admit, the first time I ever rode Dinosaur I was pretty scared and a little concerned that we weren't going to make it out in time xD But now it's not that bad

Next up was the Primeval Whirl
IMG_0552.jpg

IMG_0556.jpg

Then, we decided it was time for lunch... so Flame Tree BBQ it is!
FTBBQ is probably my favorite counter service in all of WDW and it's got two of my favorite meals. I can never decide which one to pick...
This time, I went with the ribs
And my mom got the chicken salad- my other favorite
So we shared!
IMG_0562.jpg

IMG_0563.jpg

IMG_0565.jpg

Our final mission of the day, was to see Finding Nemo the Musical! We've never seen it before, so we just HAD to this trip
IMG_0566.jpg

It was cute, but if we never see it again, I won't be sad lol. Plus, I was so tired I almost fell asleep during it hehe

Since I has almost taken a nap during the middle of the show, we decided it was time to go back to the hotel
IMG_0567.jpg

Of course the room hadn't been cleaned by the time we got back, since we always seem to come back too early- oops! So we just decided to go a day without 'mouse keeping' and took a LONG nap because we had a late dinner at one of my favorite table services...

Love the Nails!!!
Is the animal print the one that you stick on the nail and then file off the end?
If so they always fail for me :confused3

i love love love your nails! and i am the same way with coming back to the hotel too early. those afternoon breaks seem to always energize me, though. much needed and helpful, IMO. I've never seen the Nemo show either, so i have no clue if it's for me or not :P

Thanks Hannah! I agree! Usually I don't take naps though, it was probably because I was so sick the entire trip, but they helped so much!

Friday, January 20th

After resting for a few hours, it was time to make our way to Epcot because we had dinner reservations at one of my all time favorite places...!

IMG_0569.jpg

It was pretty dark by the time we got there, but our reservations weren't for a while. So we went to get some Test Track FPs
IMG_0570.jpg

Since we were near the countries, we decided to start in Mexico and make our way around, so that by the time we got to Canada it'd be time for dinner!

We looked around the shops in China
IMG_0571.jpg

IMG_0572.jpg

And then made our way to Italy, where my mom went to get a glass of wine and I finished off the trail mix from earlier
IMG_0576.jpg

IMG_0578.jpg

IMG_0581.jpg

IMG_0584.jpg

Then we walked around Morocco
IMG_0596.jpg

IMG_0597.jpg

We went into the gift shop in America, but didn't spend too much time there

And then France, where I tried on some berets
IMG_0598.jpg

IMG_0599.jpg

IMG_0600.jpg

Also in France we went in the perfume shop, it smelled so good! And we people watched for a bit.

We stopped in England for a bathroom break and then finally we were in Canada for Le Cellier!
IMG_0604.jpg

We were seated after waiting for about ten minutes.
First up, bread
(it's very dim in the restaurant so the pictures didn't turn out the best whoops)
IMG_0606.jpg

I had the New York strip steak I believe
IMG_0607.jpg

SO GOOD

Mom had the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon
IMG_0608.jpg

IMG_0610.jpg

I tried some of hers- without the mushrooms- and it was reallllllly good

Once we were finished, we decided to just go back to the hotel since we were both exhausted. So we didn't end up using the Test Track fast passes, now that I think about it we didn't even ride anything! Oh well, I enjoyed just going through the countries, it was fun
