Just wondering if anyone has stayed in Howard Johnson's king/queen suites? Is it worth the extra money to stay in one or a premium room with a Disney view would do? Do you know how old Bldgs 1 & 2 are? I am pretty picky & the last time we stayed at a HOJO in Orlando, we were not impressed & my husband swore not to stay at one again. I have read great reviews of this HOJO hotel so I might consider trying it out.

I called them directly, and got the Entertainment book discount. We went in early june, and it was really nice! The beds were a little hard, but the only place in the area I have stayed at with a comfy bed was the GCH!:lmao:

I guess the Entertainment book discount give you 50% off their rates? That's pretty good!

The ent. rate is available only during lower capacity times at the HoJo. You need to check if the rate is available in advance by using promotion code SD50 on the website. If the rate shows up then you can purchase the ent. book (if you don't already have one).

The $69 rate is awesome for the premium rooms. The deluxe rooms in bldg. 2 (my next favorite room after the Queen Suite) are only $54. That's a huge savings for lodging that can be used for fun stuff in the parks! :thumbsup2

The Deluxe Room with a pool view is in Bldg 2 & the Premium Room with Disney view is in Bldg 1, which building is better/newer? Is bldg 2 that much further than bldg 1?

I've checked several dates for 2008 and the entertainment rates (sd50) that are coming up are: $64/standard view and $74/premium view (A $5 increase for both). The queen suite is listed for $199 (All these say sd50 rate next to them). :)

Are you checking on the general HOJO site, specific hotel-HoJo Anaheim site or Entertainment site?

You know, we are actually completely redoing all the bedding in all of our rooms throughout the hotel. Over the next six months, the mattresses and the sheeting is all going to be replaced.

The mattresses will be upgraded to the same brand/type that the Westin hotels use on their properties, so that should eliminate the 'Flintstone Effect' next time!

Hoping they are replaced by May 2008 :confused3 !

Does HOJO offer suites that have two rooms, sleep six and have two bathrooms. We have never stayed their but would like to based on the reviews.

We do have a Queen Suite [SNQ1] that sleeps six people. It has two queen beds, a pull-out sofa sleeper, two bathrooms, two balconies and a kitchenette; and there is definitely a door to close off the bedroom from the rest of the suite area.

And we'd love to have you stay with us! If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to let me know! I'd love to help you!

Regards,
Lorealle

It's the hojoanaheim.com site. I didn't know the dates that you are looking for so I just checked the site and put in random dates for May and June. The entertainment rate (sd50) came up on all the dates that I checked, so hopefully it will be available for your stay. Type in "sd50" in the space for special promotion codes and if the rates are available on those dates, then that price will show up and it will say "sd50" rate next to it. If it says "our best rate" then the entertainment rate isn't available on that day. You can also call them and ask them to check certain dates for you to see if the entertainment rate is available. Make sure you call the anaheim hotel itself and ask for "in-house" reservations. Good luck!:)

thanks - i checked, looks as though they good thru mid-month, think we'll just book a room there to have a place to stay @ either AAA or MS rate.

assume we could "flip" it if a better deal comes thru:)

We do read! What do you mean- more rooms with king beds?

Lorealle

It would be nice to have a suite(s) with at least 1 king bed, a couple of queens and a SS. I am 6'4" and 235 and the queen does not sleep well. Since our familt mix is 3 DD and a DS all mostly in their teens it makes it a difficult time trying to find accomodations so we wind up at the RI Maingate. Penthouse suite, hot breakfast, mid August, $139.00/night.

Family would love to try HOJO's but can't not make it work.

Merry Christmas,

Jack

We like king beds, as do our adult children. It appears that most of the king bed accomodations are in buildings 1 & 2 and that there are only a couple of suites that could be used for family get togethers. Buildings 3,4,5, & 6 appear to be quieter and more isolated from the freeway noise and the noise from Harbor and do not appear to have any king beds. Am I missing something? When with our adult children, we like to have one unit large enough to have everyone get together at times (not to sleep).

If I have misinterpreted the offerings, feel free to clarify. Thanks!
