Hi everyone. I just booked a stay at the hojo for september. My last day was already sold out though. Anyone know what's going on the weekend of September 20? Also, the rooms we got were the premium with the DL view. Has anyone stayed in these? Are the beds the pillowtop? Are their fridges in these? I have stayed at HOJO but was in bldg 2 I think with a pool view.

TIA,
Sarah

I don't have the answer for you about Sept. 20th, but I can tell you that the premium disney view rooms in Bldg. 1 all have the new pillow-top mattresses, and have a fridge and microwave in the room.

Hi Callie,

I figured one of the DIS ladies only divas would be able to help. Do you know how the rooms compare in size with the ones we had on the trip in March?

Thanks,
Sarah

They're about the same size, perhaps slightly larger. Most of them (not all) have a sink/vanity area outside the bathroom, which is a great help in the mornings. :)

Oh, that would be nice! Thanks so much for the info. I hope you are doing well. Are you going on the trip next year? I don't think I will be able to because of the Olympics. My job is directly impacted by them and I am pretty sure they will not be allowing for leave during that time.

I hope there is nothing big going on that weekend... we moved our trip from Sept 10th-13th to the 17th-20th because of the Disney Expo!

Yeah, I don't know. Every hotel we tried was booked up on the night of the 20th. It must be something big to be booked up so far in advance!

You're welcome, Sarah! I'm not planning on going on the Ladies' Trip next year. I'm officially Disney'd out until 2012. We'll go back when DCA is all nice and new, in the meantime we're concentrating on moving up to your neck of the woods (not quite as far North, but close).

Wonderful about you moving up here. It is deffinitely not as warm as your current location! Maybe we could get a get together going when you are up this way. There are about 3-4 of us from the last trip nearby. It would be fun to see you all again.

The convention center website shows a security convention starting on the 21st.

Callie, try to time your move for late spring or early summer. I know you know the weather, but it's different to live here. The people I've known who try to move here in Fall or Winter end up going back to their original homes...try to start off with as much sunshine as we have, and it will help you out through your first grey winter!

I haven't been able to make it to a ladies' trip, but I would totally be up for a local meet. Callie, whereabouts are you moving to?

Sorry, thread hijacking :offtopic:

:offtopic: Warning!

Gotta sell our house first (which has been the problem, thus far). We're relisting it tomorrow at a HUGE price reduction (almost $100,000), in order to get it sold.

We were originally looking at the peninsula, and are still looking at South Jefferson County and Kitsap County, but we are realizing our money could go a lot farther in Lewis County, specifically, Winlock/Napavine area. We want property and I want llamas. We may end up building. Obviously, it's still all very much up in the air.

Is Hojo booked out for all rooms on the 20th September? Or is it just some rooms?

We are planning on staying at Hojo and our first night will be the 20th September. I'll be so upset if we can't stay there!
