Has anyone stayed in the King suite? It's available for our days, we have 2 kids and 2 adults. The web-site says a King bed and bunk beds. Does anyone know if the top bunk has a guard rail on it?

Also, what is the disboard code for a discount? We also have an AP, doesn't that give a discount too?

Thank you!

I believe the king suite has 1 king and 1 sofa sleeper. Perhaps the new kids suites are planned to be done by your date? Or have you somehow got onto hojo from another city? Or I could be completely wrong and in that case, just ignore me completely!

Sounds like the new Kids suites ~ they shouldn't be available till early July. I've got one booked for mid-late Oct. I'm looking @ $114 + tax per night (with the Dis boards 15% discount). It should have a room with a King, a separate but connected room with a bunk bed and a sleeper sofa, 2 bathrooms. Check out this link http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=306

Ok, I just figured out it is the Kids Suite that is available.

Very cool! But, they are not offering an AP or DIS discount on it. That is ok.

One question... I was reading through the message board on the hojo site and according to Lorealle's post from Feb, the kids suite was planned to be a 2 room suite with 2 bathrooms. The parents could have some privacy. According to the guy on the phone, this is not the case. He says it is just one large room with a king bed and bunk bed. Anyone know for sure?

Or have Lorealle's e-mail address so I can e-mail her and ask?

Call 714-776-6120 and ask for In House Reservations ~ I spoke with Jennifer yesterday. Yes the AP (20%), Dis Board & Ent. Card (both 15%) discounts (only 1 though) apply to these rooms. Lorealle's post is right ~ this guy you spoke with doesn't seem to know what he's talking about ~ call the In House Res. ladies.

Hi - we're just planning our FIRST trip to Disneyland, and I have to ask, what is the disboard code for this hotel? (I got all my awesome tips from disboards for our WDW trip last fall!)

Thanks ladies!

Just call the local number, ask for In House Reservations and while you're making your res. ask if the "Dis Board Discount" is available. You just have to mention it.

Ah, I see! Thanks so much!! I will be posting a thread asking for starting points for planning this trip...so maaaaaybe you'll see it, too, and be able to help. :D

Thanks so much!
PS: Have you been to WDW? I have that in my head, so I am nervous to plan for this trip - WDW was a big undertaking.

I just booked the HOJO kids suite July 24- Aug 1. 15%off brought it to 139.40 a night. There are 2 bathrooms. Does anyone know if its on the freeway side or Disney Side?
I also have reservations and BWPPI - for the location. Does anyone have thoughts about HOJO versus BWPPI?

Nope ~ WDW seems daunting, perhaps when my kids are older ~ for now DLR is perfect for us, besides it seems to me that pretty much all WDW offers can be found in other parks in S. CA. If WDW is 50 something miles, I figure I could drive 50 miles from DLR and find most things. For example we plan to visit Legoland this fall during our next DLR trip.

I was told freeway side ~ but they've replaced all the windows. If you do stay there I'll look forward to your review! Is $139.40 incl. tax or before tax?

Oh - Thats the quote I got from Hojo, so I assume its before tax.
BWPPI is 152.10 + tax for a suite with 2 beds and sofa couch, so Hojo is a little cheaper....but farther. I'm still concerned about the walk for my 9 and 7 year old.

We didn't mind the walk at all this past Dec. DS is/was 8, DD is/was 5, she was in a stroller though, IMO the walk is worth it.. Just walk on the Disney side of Harbor across the street from all the hotels.

Is there ever a time that the AP discount is not available? The guy last night told me there was no discount available on the kids suite.

I wish I knew who I spoke to today. She was really nice, it wasn't Jennifer or Lorealle. She said they have 13 kid suites. There are two rooms and two bathrooms. She did say the AP discount would apply (at least on our dates). WITH the discount on the dates I asked about was going to be $107.20 a night. Can't beat that!

That is a great rate! I am going to call again and see what they say.

I wish we could see some pics!

Pictures would be really nice!!!
The way it was described to me was that there is one main entrance....when you go in you are in the kids room. In that room is a fold out couch, a bunk bed and a bathroom. Connected to that room is a door that goes into the parents room with a king bed and one bathroom. It almost sounds like they made connecting rooms into a 2 room suite. It almost sounds backwards to me...it would be nice if the bunkbed was in the other room so the kids could go to sleep and the parents could stay out in the main room where the fold out couch was to relax and watch tv.:confused3 AND...seems odd to have the kid in the room with the main door to outside.:confused3

If it was after 5 p.m., then you might have been talking to the people at the general hojo reservation number, not in-house ressies at the Hojo itself. The people there won't give discounts, so you'd have to call in-house before 5 p.m. :-)

I am hoping for pics soon too. I know someone will post them once they are done.
I booked the suite online for Dec. 17 to Dec. 23- It was $134 for the first night and then $164 for each night after the first (high season). SEE BELOW:

Then today I called, and asked them to adjust the reservation and apply the AP discount which I thought was 20% and this is what it came out to:

ROOM DETAILS:

I am doing the happy dance, but I don't know what the PH discount is? Did she enter it wrong? What is a PH???

I don't want to show up and not get that great rate!

Just had a thought: Pass Holder?? Does that sound right? I actually have one other reservation with that notation.

ok i seemed to lose the site. any one have the hojo site that usely showed the ent rates?
