I emailed Lorealle asking about the construction of the Garden Pool. She responded back with the following info...

"from now until approximately March 31st. They are adding outdoor showers, putting up a new gate, reducing the depth of the pool to 5 feet throughout and redoing the pool deck. All of these things will help make it more family accessible. This is because [in part] we are also going to be redoing our Main Pool! The Main Pool will become a Splash-n-Spray Ground with a shipwrecked Pirate Ship that has cannons that shoot water, and a slide feature! It’s going to be really cool! I’ve seen some of the proposed renderings, and it looks amazing"!

And yes she is unable to post on the boards now. She received word from moderators that they were cutting down on "advertisement posts" and although she's never actually done anything but answer questions from us on the board, it still wouldn't be fair if she continued posting and others could not. Hopefully though she'll be back soon....

She also wanted me to relay the following
"If you want to let people know that they can still email me at Lorealle.Bishop@hojoanaheim.com- that would be really great, because I hate to think that there are people who are not getting questions answered".

Oh ugh. She and Jefferson Kim from that other hotel (I can't remember his hotel, LOL, so I guess "advertising" posts don't advertise all that well!) did nothing but help people, and those are the only two hotel-related things I ever saw!


Wow, cool pool-related stuff. Did she say when the big pool's changes will be starting/completing?

I've been unhappy with the pools at the hotels surrounding the Disney area for years. They are all so boring! It's wonderful that HOJO's is making this change! So many families go back to their hotels to take a break during the day, a nice pool to come back to is wonderful.

She didn't mention anything about when the construction would begin or be completed on the other pool. It sounds WONDERFUL though!!!
I agree with you Molly.... I NEVER felt that either of them advertised anything about the hotels. Lorealle did nothing but answer questions that others asked. She did also say "We sent an email to the Boards owner asking if there was anything that we could do- because we can see that its really helpful to offer information about the hotel, and to answer questions- but we haven’t heard anything at all back from them, and its been over a week. So we’re really not sure what to do".

Maybe we need to start a chant....BRING BACK LOREALLE!

I can't believe that they've banned Lorealle from posting . It was the rapid response to questions that anyone had in regards to her hotel on this board that has tipped the scales in staying there versus the other hotels in the area surrounding Disneyland. That and all the greyt reviews I've seen regarding HOJO's. Will be definitely staying at HOJO's when we book our trip for Feb/09. Hope the moderators have a change of heart, and will let her post on the board again. I've never seen her post any advertising, only helping people who had questions in regards to the hotel.

Just got another update from Lorealle, the main pool renovations will begin as soon as the Garden Pool is up and running. No word on when it will be complete.

Sad, sad news about Lorealle. I wish the mods would reconsider. Couldn't she just register as a private person, instead of as her role as a HoJo CSR? She could still obviously give great information about the place where she just happens to work . ..

I would certainly think so.....I mean at first I thought you worked at HOJO's because of how much info you had on the place.
I just wish they'd see we're all here for the same reason...to ask and receive information on how to plan the best trip possible. Instead of banning our good resources they should keep their eye out on....well others.

I totally agree. Lorealle simply answered questions regarding HoJo's and I have never felt that any of her posts were advertisements.

Exciting news about the pools! My son can hardly wait! We are booked in Building 2 for an end of May trip and it sounds like it may be quite an exciting area if the main pool is closed. We have another trip planned for the end of September and would love to see the main pool renovations completed by then! We love HoJo's!!!!!

Kinda sad if the main pool will be down when we go in June. That was one of the draws to Hojo for us this time! Do they have a hot tub in the garden pool area too?

That really sucks that she can't post anymore. Both of those people were posting GOOD things, no advertising at all!! I can see why the mods thought that was the case but please.....bring back Lorealle!!!! I love her!!

I don't remember there being a hot tub at the garden pool area but maybe they're going to put one in as part of the renovations. I'll be kind of sad if the main pool is closed at the end of May and there isn't a hot tub to rest my weary feet in at the end of a long Disney day. Plus DH and I always had such a great time visiting with all of the other guests while the kids played in the big pool.

Bummer on Lorealle. I am very upset by this oddly enough. One reason I chose HoJo, had 4 I narrowed it down too, was because of the personalized info available by her and only by us asking. It seemed we were staying at real place and not a business (if that makes sense).

I'll be extremely bummed if the main pool is closed in May, that was the other reason we chose HJ. I thought my son would love it and wanted a fun pool vs a boring square (got one of those in our yard).

Business wise it seems like a bad idea to have your pool down when it is warm........May till Sept should be hi pool times.
