Hojo Ent Rate question

First of all, Merry Xmas!!!
I've booked a Kids Suite at Hojo's for my next trip, and I've just found out that the Ent Rate is available... so my questions are:
1. I don't own an Ent Card, I'm planning to buy one. Do I have to buy the Orange County one?
2. I need to present the card at the time of check in, right? So I still have some months to buy one (for May).
3. I only need the card, so I can buy it from eBay? I also saw there's a digital ent card, is that the same?
4. To apply, I just email Hojo with my reservation and ask to change the Ent Rate? Is there a limited number of rooms available per date?
5. I was hoping for a discount in one of the disney hotels, but after looking at the price, I'm leaning heavily in save some money... there is no discount that will be similar to this for the DLH?

No the card from any entertainment book will work at the Hojo Anaheim.

Correct you can reserve at the ent rate now, but need the card in hand at check in to get the rate.

Yes you can get it from ebay, remember though you are visiting in 2012. I'm not sure what the digital card is, it sounds fishy because it won't help when you check in(see answer #2).

It's not that simply. You have to book that rate. If you have already booked you can call Hojo Anaheim(714-776-6120) and have them adjust the rate. The rates are available only on the days in the link. http://www.boards.hojoanaheim.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14 When they run out of rooms at the ENT rate they will remove the dates from that link.

5. I was hoping for a discount in one of the disney hotels, but after looking at the price, I'm leaning heavily in save some money... there is no discount that will be similar to this for the DLH?

Disney is semi likely to have discounts at that time. Though their promotions are not posted this far ahead. It will likely be after this Holiday Season that we see offers for May.


The problem will be, the Hojo Ent rates are not cancelable. So you are gambling a bit to wait and see the Disney deals, before you book the Hojo at ENT rates.

The Hojo dates in May are most likely to be booked up for the weekend, but otherwise it's not a busy month which is why so many dates are available.

As skiing fast mentioned, you don't need the card now to make your reservation, but you will need the actual physical card to show at check in.
Their no cancellation policy with the ent rate is that any reservation canceled before the check-in date will be charged for one night's stay. So, if you think you might cancel your reservation due to booking a DLR hotel or for any other reason, you need to decide if it would be worth it to lose one night's charge at Hojo. The ent rates come and go quickly, so if you are planning on contacting them to get your rate changed, I would do it as soon as possible. As mentioned above, make sure you call in-house reservations and they will take care of that for you.

I have bought the Entertainment card via ebay twice, and both times it has worked out fine. Buy from a trusted seller. Both times I paid like 5.00 or less.

Don't need the card to book, just to show for checking in.

Thanks everybody for your quick answers! We're now positive we want to stay at HoJo's, so I'll change my rate then tomorrow...

Those are some great rates! I'm now looking at staying here for our next trip. Can anyone tell me how far it is from the gate? I want to be walking to and from the hotel and really rely on having a close hotel. Thanks!

hmmm. My dates are listed, but when I inquired, it said that those dates are not available with the offer. Total bummer. We wanted to go the week after Thanksgiving so that the Christmas decorations would be up. I've wanted to go to DL when the Christmas decorations are up for as long as I can remember and this was going to be the year that we did it. Hoping I can get some sort of discount. I was really hoping for this one!

I just booked this rate for early June. I called the 800 number and asked for the entertainment rate and it was available, we have one night that is not included, but she said to keep checking because they do oftentimes open additional date. I think the digital edition that OP asked about is an app for your phone where instead of a card, you receive your coupons through your cell. I assume you would just open the app when you check in and show them that.

What dates were you looking at? If they are the 25th-29th, the entertainment rate is indeed available. Did you try the coupon codes that I gave in the first post? Because when I did--the rate came up immediately. Here is the rate using the code LKEP (entertainment rate) or LKAP (AP retro rate).

I was looking for a kid suite. If the other rooms are available, I may just get two rooms instead. We have a family of 6.
