ok, here is my dilema guys...I can book a room in BLDG 1 or BLDG 2 with the ent. rate...I will be traveling with 2 toddlers {3 & 2}....I can book a room with 2 queen beds in either bldg and still have room for a rollaway...:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

DILEMA:

1. do I book in BLDG 1 {Disney view} where everything is closer to the BLDG {pool area, etc}

or

2. do I book in BLDG 2 where it is quiter and I can get a room with a little more space, but no balcony and it is further away from the kid's pool area...

help me out...priceis not a problem becuase it is only about a $75 difference betweent eh Disney view and all the other rooms....

Last year we stayed in a view room and were able to have a roll away in it as well. There were 4 adults and it was enough room to do what we needed to do and not be on top of each other. If you think you will be checking out the view and using the kiddie pool enough to make it worth it, then go for it.

I have stayed in both Bldg 1 and 2. To me it seems like the view rooms in Bldg 1 are bigger. I would go for bldg. 1. :)

BLDG 1 {Disney view} FTW! We stayed on the 7th floor, building 1, in Sept. of 2008, and it was PERFECT! Also - if you have someone with you (spouse?) who can maybe take the kids down to the play area for an afternoon while YOU rest, (and of course, vicey versa, as Barney on the Flintstones would say), then you can pop up every now and again, head out to the balcony to see everyone frollicking around joyfully. How do I know? Because I was SO sick/fluish on our second day there and my husband was an angel to tell me, "You rest here, Hon, while I take the kids to the splash playground."

It IS noisier than other rooms WHEN the door is opened, but it was such a cool thing to open and shut the door to hear how well sound proofed the rooms are. Amazing! Toddlers, especially when you have 2, will easily sleep through anything. I didn't find it noisy at all, and we live in a small city, not in the main 'hub' of it all.

The beds are heavenly soft. As are the pillows.

The cot fits PERFECTLY in the room. Amazing. Housekeeping always made up the cot and placed our daughter's stuffed toy nicely on the cot. :) (Housekeeping is super!)

Look for the hidden pinocchio in the bathroom, in the tub. ;) I couldn't miss it, I'm sure many of you HoJo lovers have noticed; if not, and you want to see a pic., I'll post it for you.

GROCERIES!! Order from Vons online if you can, prior to your trip... you can edit your order right up to the night before, so make an order 2 weeks prior, to get your delivery window time booked. Then, when you see the sales, you can take advantage of them, and change your order with the exception of one thing; you will NOT be able to apply COUPON codes that are listed, once you have placed your initial order.

I thought the rooms in Building 2 did mostly have balconies. I called to reserve one last Friday, and was told they definitely have the upgraded bedding now. We decided to go with Building 2 because my kids are teens and I know they'll want to spend their time at the garden pool. I'd rather be close to it than have a Disney view. We're also getting a rollaway and it looks like we'll have a bit more space for the rollaway in building 2. And we'll save $10/night, which while not much, adds up over 8 nights.

Bldg 2 rooms do not all have balconies. The pool view rooms do tho. And Bldg 2 is closest to the actual pool where bldg 1 is closest to the splash play area and hot tub. Altho I think they should put in another hot tub, next to the pool. :) We actually prefer bldg 4 ($59 per night with 2 doubles) because it's in the middle, there are only 2 floors (no elevators) and there are less rooms per bldg. We have a ressie for one of those for the first part of Feb. We are right between the pool and the play area, the beds aren't as great as the other bldgs but they work fine for us. For us, we don't chose the Disney view because we spend most of our time IN Disneyland. So we just need a room with a decent bed and a shower and toilet that work. LOL

For you, with 2 littles, I might go with bldg 1 on a lower floor. It is closer to the play area and the beds are super comfy. :)

We had a garden pool view room with NO balcony. It was a funky little corner kinda room, not a normal room, though. And no upgraded bedding in May.

Can I tack on an additional question? When I booked my reservation they didn't mention buildings, just views. I have a "pool view" room with 2 queens. Is that a good choice for an adult and 2 kids? I totally forgot to ask if that room has a microwave/fridge, too. Oops!

Sometimes I think there should be a whole thread devoted to the HoJo, there are so many (very good) questions and the threads keep falling off the first page. It would be nice to have one central place to ask HoJo questions. :)

We were in Building 2 in December on the 3rd floor. They were bringing in the new pillow top mattresses the day we left. We didn't sleep on one, but they looked divine. Although, the old beds weren't too bad either. We had a room overlooking the pool and the balcony wasn't much. You could stand out there, but there wasn't room for a chair.

A Pool view room would be a room in building 2, which has 2 queens and a fridge and micro.

And for the OP, I have stayed multiple times in both, and my preference is building 2, and I usually request a balcony (which is tiny, but nice) and the upgraded bed/bedding, since there are a few rooms which have yet to be converted from what I understand.

Happy Friday Everybody!

There seem to be a lot of questions, so I just wanted to try to help clear things up! :goodvibes

NQQ2/Deluxe Rooms:: These rooms all have two queen beds, a small fridge and a microwave. All of these rooms face towards the Garden Pool. Not all of them have balconies, but if you let the In-House Reservations agent know when you are booking your room that you would like a room with a balcony, we can certainly note that request for you- and our Front Desk Staff will do their very best to try to accommodate that request! :] [The new Heavenly Mattresses are not in all of the rooms in the building yet, to the best of my knowledge.]

NQQ1/Premium Rooms:: These rooms all have two queen beds, a small fridge and a microwave. All of these rooms face towards Disneyland, and they all have balconies. They also all have the new Heavenly Mattresses that everybody can't stop raving about! :D

Both of the rooms are great, and I'm sure you'll be comfortable no matter which you choose- but if you feel like you want some more information, or you'd like to talk it over with us directly- just give our In-House Reservations a call at 714-776-6120! Jennifer, Jessica or Desi can definitely help you!

I hope this helps!
