hojo cancellation policy

I just read that Hojo now does not allow cancellations on the ap rate. I made reservations a few weeks ago. When I did the girl advised me I had 24 hr to cancel. Does anyone know if they will still honor this as I made my res before they changed their policy??

No problem! Retro Ressies made before 2/1/2011 are subject to our standard 48 hour cancellation policy.

We are still working with the HoJo website to update the cancellation language.

Hojo has stated, on the DIS, that if the reservation was made before the policy change they will allow cancellations without penalty.

I will be calling tomorrow to get our dates in... Since there are two night not available for the entertainment rate can I get the DIS rate those nights? Do I just need to tell them that when I am booking it??

dis rate is 15% from what i heard an you should be able to ask for it

Thank goodness! I almost had a heart attack when I saw their new no cancellations policy! I booked a room a few weeks ago for October. Stuff happens so I always like to book a room that can be canceled if need be.

Now I see that if we booked before 2/1 they will still allow the 48 hours before your stay to cancel. Is that correct?

Yes, that's correct. If you book an AP/ET rate after Feb 1 and need to cancel for any reason, you have to pay one night's rate as a penalty............

Yes... We did this our last stay, 2 nights with DIS discount and 1 night at the ET rate.

I had some trouble cancelling a ressie for Feb 1 that I had made a couple of months ago. I asked for in-house reservations and the girl I spoke to was very rude and would not cancel it. I asked for a manager and she transferred me to the main Hojo reservation line and they don't know anything about AP rates. I had to call back and ask again for a manager who did cancel the reservation gladly. The moral is you might have to ask for a manager or supervisor to get a res canceled if you booked before Feb 2011.
