Hi Guys,

My husband and I want a room with a king size bed. And HOJO has king rooms with the AMAZING entertainment rate available for the time we're looking at. But, all of the king standard rooms are in building 1 on the I5 side of the building (there is only 1 king suite and it's booked).

I know sound levels are in the eye of the beholder, but how noisy is it on that side of the building? Have you stayed there and not slept? Asked to be moved to a different room? Or was it bearable, especially considering the exhaustion from touring DL/DCA?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm also looking at Fairfield, Tropicana, and BWPPI (thanks for the suggestions), but it's hard to beat $59 per night at the HOJOs.

Thanks in advance.

Robyn

Do what we do - bring a white noise machine. You can adjust the volume to drown out any extraneous noise and your brain and your ears only focus on the noise that is closest to you. :)

I have no idea how loud the freeway noise is though, sorry.

If you are below the freeway wall (Floor 4 or under), it won't be as bad as the upper floors, but I agree with the PP and suggest bringing a sound machine and earplugs and maybe Tylenol PM as a back-up and you'll sleep like a baby.

We had a room with a king size bed in Bldg. 2 when we went in Nov. It was great!! No freeway noise, tons of room and very, very quiet!! We are looking at taking a family trip in May and I definately put in a request for Bldg.2 when I made my reservations!! You might want to call and see if you can request Bldg. 2!! Good Luck!:)

Hojos is the hotel we always stay in when we go to Disneyland and we love it but the freeway side can be pretty loud!
It is mostly the sounds of the big trucks going by at night that seem to make all the noise! My children described it as the "whooshing" noise.
I think how loud it is to you may depend on how much noise you are used to sleeping with.
