Melanie: "They shouldn't." She didn't hate herself, but naturally put others first.

Melanie: "You don't go around hurting everyone you see. You don't know how much it hurts to lose everyone you care about, in one way or another. You haven't seen it from a death eater's point of view. I can't live like this anymore, tearing people apart piece by piece. I can't let my heart be ripped again." She spoke in broken sobs, tearful and sorrowful.

OOC: That didn't seem out of character, did it? I could see her resigning if Corbin broke up with her, but I wasn't sure about this.

Melanie: She appeared in her apartment in London and sat on the carpeted floor, completely in hysterics.

OOC: That's why she said she needs time, because I can't see her abandoning them. I don't know where I'm going with this-it was sort of unplanned-but Hogwarts is her home. She needs to go back eventually.

Melanie: Mel didn't know where she would go. She had enough to support herself temporarily, but not long-term. And aside from that, there was the students and her cousins. Shakily she wrote up an owl to Nagini, telling her that if they needed anything they should go to Andromeda.
