Yes. They have TMs out in front of the queue repeatedly announcing that you need a 2 park pass (or annual pass) to ride HE. That set of TMs do a quick check of your ticket prior to you getting in queue where another set of TMs use machines similar to the set at the main entrance of the parks that scan your ticket and do a finger scan.
I'm an annual passholder for the past 11 years, so it wasn't costing me anything extra. However, for those that are "regular" tourists, I can see a big pocketbook hit with the need for the 2 park pass. It's pretty genius on Universal's part.
Thanks-I think its worth the extra money-was just wondering if they were inflating the "daily park visits" from folks going round and round-its just an amazing strategy in that regard. WDW has no parks close enough to do that with an attraction-DL could though.
What would the most, or at least typical back and forth visits you made before this 7? I would suspect maybe 3 or 4 at the most right?

Zero chance-they want the annual attendance totals padded as high as they can, what better way than a popular new attraction "forcing" additional automated gate entries every time you ride it.
